The Fox Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Marshall

My daughter adores this place. she says the cook makes some of the best cheeseburgers ever and I can't possibly pass up a good cheeseburger. We drove from Indiana to get her my wife and I with our daughter and her man. we took up a couple tables, looked at the menu and ordered burgers and some appetizers with drinks. The waitress was very friendly and knew the menu well. The bar itself while cozy has that wonderful small town everyone knows everyone with the people inside playing games and drinking only adding to the hometown atmosphere. The place is extremely clean there is more than ample parking. I also got a kick out of the outside area. Spacious and ready for a party. The food was served quickly hot and fresh to order. They have some tasty fries the apps are served hot with ample sauce the burgers could be a little bigger for the price as they are good. Very good. Excellent actually. I was at fox with my friend on Monday, the bar itself is cute but the service was not good, for us at least. There were three other people at the bar and they seemed to have the server's attention the whole time we were there. The server was talking with these three (who I assume were regulars) but not paying much attention to me and my friend. I would've liked to order more but it seems the server was more worried about the group of regulars. The only conversation the server had with us was to take our order, no "hey how are you doing today?" or other friendly starters but she had lots to say to the regulars. My fiance and i live in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. I grew up in Marshall and still have family there. I called to see if i could get a burger and sides delivered to my mom on Mother's Day. They do not deliver, however, the waitress I was speaking with told me she would come in, on her day off, and make sure my 84 year old mother and my older sister Kathy got my Mother's Day gift delivered. Debra and I were very thankful that the Fox employs people like Lindsay Ampe. What a great experience. Thank you again Linds, my mom loved the burger and cheese curds.
