After getting home late from work last night (05/03/2019) I really wasn't in the mood to cook. I decided to visit this Popeyes location, as I normally would whenever I wanted something quick to eat. I arrived at the drive-thru at approximately 9:02 p.m. and waited behind the car that was ahead of me (I was the second car in line). After waiting for roughly 11 MINUTES the first car finally pulled forward and so did. I then waited for an additional 4 MINUTES at the menu board for someone to take my order (WHICH NEVER HAPPENED). After not hearing from any of the workers inside I decided to honk my horn twice, even after this, there was still no response from any of the employees (at this point there were four (4) additional cars in a line behind me). I decided to pull around to the pick-up window. When I got to the window, I observed a female employee (African American) who appeared to be counting cash at the register and a male employee that was walking around inside. I again honked my horn twice in an effort to get their attention. After about 20 seconds, I was able to get the attention of the male employee by waving, he walked over and asked: "how can I help you, sir?". I asked him if he could tell me whether they were still open (they close at 10:30 p.m.) as the open was on when I entered the premises (and was still on while I was at the window). He said yes, I then informed him that I had been waiting at the menu board for several minutes and also about the pile-up of cars that I left behind that had people who were also waiting to place their orders. It was at this time that the female employee rushed over asked: "WHAT ARE YOU GETTING?" I immediately asked her not to yell at me, she again asked (with an even bigger attitude) WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ORDER?! I responded by saying that I wasn't going to place an order anymore based on her rude behavior and attitude. She responded by saying"OK BYE, YOU CAN MOVE FROM THE WINDOW NOW!" I told her that she was behaving in an unprofessional manner and that I would be calling Popeyes HQ to report the incident in the morning, and that I would be leaving a Google Review about my experience. She responded by saying "POPEYES DON'T OWN US, POPEYES AIN'T THE OWNER". Now I am 100% sure this location is a franchise location and I hope that someone from the corporate office will see this review and take immediate action. This female "individual" should not be emptying the grease trap, or worst be mopping the floors with such a BAD ATTITUDE and lack of training! I hope she gets the necessary training that DESPERATELY NEEDS!!!
My advice to anyone considering purchasing food at this location is to save themselves the hassle and take the few extra minutes and travel to the one...
Read moreI hate being negative, and I have held off on writing this review for awhile now. I tend to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt due to labor shortages, but I can no longer hold out on talking about how I feel about this horrendous dump.
The staff is awful and slow, the food is alright, and the location is just poorly taken care of. Just today I went there to get my parents lunch. I waited for at least 10 mins at the order menu and there was absolutely nobody to take my order. My patience can only last for so long, so I decided to ask if anyone was even there. Nothing. Crickets. No Response. That made me angry since I felt at that point they were wasting my time. I drove around the corner to the window and there was a young woman, probably 17-19, on her phone WITH the drive-thru headset on. I tried to get her attention and she rolled her eyes, and just straight up ignored me.
The owner's should be ashamed of themselves, but my guess is they just don't care. That's clear enough to me when it looks like the parking lot hasn't been repaved in 2 decades, and the staff doesn't have enough decency to actually do their job. I am convinced the place could be run faster by slugs and even that's generous. Needless to say I went elsewhere with my business and more than likely will just drive to Spring Mills if I ever get a Popeyes craving.
TLDR: This Popeyes Might Literally Be The Slowest Restaurant In West Virginia. Don't...
Read moreSat in the drive thru for ten minutes, no one came over the speaker so I tried asking if anyone was there…. Still no answer. I really wanted some Popeyes too. It was about 3:50pm on May 10,2022. I waited a few more minutes and then drove off. Here’s the best part, there was a worker chillin in the drive thru window looking at us😐 like come tf on lady. I’m sure she doesn’t care, she’s still getting paid either way. Lazy is an understatement. I saw a car go through the drive thru when I first pulled up so she’s just not answering people hoping they just leave so she can stand around. That’s just my assumption though. I’m pretty upset about it. I was craving some mashed potatoes and Cajun gravy. I guess I’ll have to go to spring mills or Charles town next time. After reading the reviews, I’m not sure I would have been happy with the food anyway. Get better employees. Ones who care. I know how fast food works because I’ve worked at many drive thrus so I know that when you pull up, the headset goes off letting you know someone is there. Even if they were busy which I didn’t see any other cars except the one she still could’ve answered the headset and said can I please have a minute or I’ll be with you in a few minutes instead of...
