Buck Murphy's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Maryland

What a wonderful hole in the wall. I was thrilled to learn that Google Contribute would recommend a pub that fit my personality. This bar is comfortable, cozy, and you'll feel right at home. The bar tenders provided exceptional service and the food is now on my top five favorite places to get bar food. Personally, the food probably shouldn't be labeled bar food since it was swanky steakhouse quality, but it's definitely a pub style. I've never seen Reuben Balls before and that was one of my favorite appetizers we had. The crunchy bombs dipped in the tangy sauce was definitely a foodie favorite. I also loved that the fish used in the Fish N Chips was sliced so thin. Usually, Fish N Chips seem to carry the grease from the fryer and these ones did not. Also, they were seasoned perfect. The wings were to die for and the French fries were delish and also a funky cut that you usually don't see in restaraunts. The fries were similiar to steak fries, but thin cut. I loved how this pub took effort to put a unique spin on their menu. The only recommendation I would suggest to the owner is to work on opening up walking space to and from the restroom/exit. We found it to be quite burdensome manuvering through people and chairs to get out. It made me concerned that it could be a potential fire hazard as many bar patrons would flip their barstools to the side to save their seat. I'm sure there is a better way of holding a seat. Overall, a really wonderful place and look forward to coming back again.

Update 8/9/2019: Under new management. Food is even better than before and I believe the prices may have changed because it seemed more reasonable. I highly recommend the Honey Old Bay Wings... They are savory, sweet and definitely won't dissapoint your...

Love everything bout Buck always have great people delicious food and nice cold drinks ! Will be missed there is no where like Bucks never has and never will !! I just wish Bucks would remain the same some remodeling yes but still have the same feel when you walk in ! So many places have changed not all for the better here in Odenton but what everyone knew from Bucks we were family even if you were a new you found out ( far from a fancy place) that there was truly friends and family there and always willing to lead a helpful hand !! I know we all will continue to be family and have the wonderful memories of Buck and and his simple but fun loving place that's what he ever wanted it to be ! If it wasn't for Sherri hard work and dedication and sweat and tears for a promise maded to Buck that it would have already been closed down !! We really appreciate everything Sherri ( her family) has done they always found away and continue to keep Bucks open !! No words to express the sadness !! Buck and Buck Murphy's Bar will live forever in...

I've been in the area for many, many years, and I've driven by this place a lot of times. It never seemed impressive to me, but I eventually stopped by on a whim. It was a Saturday, pretty slow as it was a little bit late, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The decor in this place is very nice, and it seems like it's a great little hang. The bartender (Tyson) was amazingly cool and even knew some magic tricks. Decent prices on drinks, and I'm eager to come back to try the menu. I don't spend much time hanging out in bars, but for this place, every so often I'll definitely make an exception. It's a great place to come and have a beer and hang out for a very chill time.

EDIT: still go here, still good food, drinks, and vibe, although Tyson no longer works there. Regardless, all of the servers are very friendly. Karaoke Saturday is gold, some fun times indeed.
