My husband and I "had" always enjoyed going here for our Italian food. However, after our last experience, I will never set foot in their establishment again. Here we go. We went there to get food to go. We bought around $55.00 worth of food. I asked the gentlemen serving me if I could get salad from the salad bar to go - he said yes he would give me a box. I was assuming I was only getting a "side" salad to go, My husband ordered a ceasar salad for himself. Needless to say I was charged for the lunch buffet (mistake - okay, no big deal). Once home, we discovered his salad was not in the bag. Upon discovering that, we looked at our receipt and discovered we had paid for the lunch buffet and his salad. I called the restaurant to let them know that his salad wasn't in the bag and also that I hadn't realized I was paying for the whole lunch buffet ( my god we had just ordered $55.00 worth of food to go - duhhh!) The person I spoke with was completely uninterested, unhelpful and very cavalier. By the end of the conversation after his extremely unprofessional, unhelpful, glip ATTITUDE. I said one choice word to him and hung the phone up. A few minutes later we received a phone call from their establishment and then a hang up. A second later we got a phone call from a cell phone from "Nico" we found out his name later, get this, saying he was gonna MURDER me. My husband and I took our food back, got our money back and will never, ever, ever step foot in there again. On top of that, when we went back to the restaurant the owner was just as uninterested as his employee. We left there and went to Tino's in Columbia, lovely food and service. I have never, ever been talked to like that by a restaurant employee. He should have been fired. But I guarantee you he is still behind the counter. Watch your back if you decide to patronize this...
Read moreI have been going to this restaurant for 30 years and IT WAS the best authentic Italian restaurant around in the DMV BUT NO MORE. I started out 15 minutes away long ago and Now I’m an hour and 10 minutes away and still travel to get the best Darn Pizza in all of DMV UNTIL NOW!! Sadly another long standing restaurant is no longer producing the authentic pizzas they used. You will see the pictures I am posting that the pizzas were known for be very large even the small ones with buttery fluffy crust you could eat it was so good or give to your pup that was standing there to chomp down. But NO MORE, they are now serving these Horrible pizzas that are small and flat and crunchy on the back. The store bought or the basic pizza places were even better which Before was impossible Thus people would drive an Hour to get that pizza Again NO MORE of that. The sauce is also NOT the same, it taste just like can tomato pizza sauce. Yuck!! I noticed the older gentleman is no longer there because he had to Retire but somebody needs to run and get him and have him teach those guys how to fix those pizzas. I knew the original owners and they need to come back because if it keeps like this there will be more of these reviews.
Oh and did I tell you that I sent my first pizza back because I thought they made me a thin crust but discovered It is how they are making them now. I waited about 20+ minutes and went in. When I did they were looking at me I guess they didn’t believe I never got my pizza and when the guy shrugged his shoulders he discovered my Pizza Burnt inside…Totally forgot about it. The lady manager was nice about it but when it came out it was still that thin flat crispy bottom like pizza!! The pepperoni pizza was the original..kiss it Goodbye!!
Well I guess the Best Pizza in town is Definitely No More..so I guess I won’t be driving over an hour...
