I have been going to this restaurant for 30 years and IT WAS the best authentic Italian restaurant around in the DMV BUT NO MORE. I started out 15 minutes away long ago and Now I’m an hour and 10 minutes away and still travel to get the best Darn Pizza in all of DMV UNTIL NOW!! Sadly another long standing restaurant is no longer producing the authentic pizzas they used. You will see the pictures I am posting that the pizzas were known for be very large even the small ones with buttery fluffy crust you could eat it was so good or give to your pup that was standing there to chomp down. But NO MORE, they are now serving these Horrible pizzas that are small and flat and crunchy on the back. The store bought or the basic pizza places were even better which Before was impossible Thus people would drive an Hour to get that pizza Again NO MORE of that. The sauce is also NOT the same, it taste just like can tomato pizza sauce. Yuck!! I noticed the older gentleman is no longer there because he had to Retire but somebody needs to run and get him and have him teach those guys how to fix those pizzas. I knew the original owners and they need to come back because if it keeps like this there will be more of these reviews. Oh and did I tell you that I sent my first pizza back because I thought they made me a thin crust but discovered It is how they are making them now. I waited about 20+ minutes and went in. When I did they were looking at me I guess they didn’t believe I never got my pizza and when the guy shrugged his shoulders he discovered my Pizza Burnt inside…Totally forgot about it. The lady manager was nice about it but when it came out it was still that thin flat crispy bottom like pizza!! The pepperoni pizza was the original..kiss it Goodbye!! Well I guess the Best Pizza in town is Definitely No More..so I guess I won’t be driving over an hour anymore …sadly

Delicious, quick, fun, roomy, clean, friendly, just perfect! We stayed local for the Baltimore Mania soccer tournament. We had a great team dinner on March 18, 2023 with lots of bonding. We are grateful that Trish from the Holiday Inn Express Baltimore BWI Airport West off Ridge Road recommended your wonderful restaurant to us. We had a total of 45 hungry teenage boys and families looking for good food after a cold and busy day on the field. The room for 45-50 with plenty of room. We couldn’t have asked for a greater dinner to help us get into the finals and ultimately take home the trophy! The best part about going here with a team or group was that each family was able to go up to the counter and place their orders and the servers brought it. This Kept things simple and we didn’t have to figure out how many separate checks we had to do. It was efficient and probably the best team dinner we had. We even took all the boys cell phones away to increase the team bonding time which showed the next day in their playing. Cantina Mama Lucia Thank you for making our time at the Baltimore Mania soccer tournament in Hanover, MD delicious. Excited to finally try this place after years driving past it. I didn't think I liked pasta but they proved me wrong. Fettuccine alla Francesca was amazing. It is mixed seafood in marinara. The calamari was so tender. Don't know how they did it. Farfalle Mona Lisa was also awesome. Chicken and sliced sausage in a cream sauce over large bowtie pasta. Sauce was rich and delicious pasta cook perfectly, though the white meat chicken, some of it was a little dry. Chicken cheesesteak with onions and mushrooms was fantastic, also they ended pasta salad. I had a bad anchovies but that was a big salad. Lots of variety would get definitely get it again. Their pizza must have some secret ingredient because after eating a slice by itself you just start to feel a little glow. It's now for sure the best pizza in town for us. Wife had their eggplant parm and it was in the top five she's found around here. Take out was mad busy Friday night around 7:00 p.m. Meatballs appetizer: Two large meatballs in sauce. It's enough for a meal and the sauce and meat was very tasty.

My husband and I "had" always enjoyed going here for our Italian food. However, after our last experience, I will never set foot in their establishment again. Here we go. We went there to get food to go. We bought around $55.00 worth of food. I asked the gentlemen serving me if I could get salad from the salad bar to go - he said yes he would give me a box. I was assuming I was only getting a "side" salad to go, My husband ordered a ceasar salad for himself. Needless to say I was charged for the lunch buffet (mistake - okay, no big deal). Once home, we discovered his salad was not in the bag. Upon discovering that, we looked at our receipt and discovered we had paid for the lunch buffet and his salad. I called the restaurant to let them know that his salad wasn't in the bag and also that I hadn't realized I was paying for the whole lunch buffet ( my god we had just ordered $55.00 worth of food to go - duhhh!) The person I spoke with was completely uninterested, unhelpful and very cavalier. By the end of the conversation after his extremely unprofessional, unhelpful, glip ATTITUDE. I said one choice word to him and hung the phone up. A few minutes later we received a phone call from their establishment and then a hang up. A second later we got a phone call from a cell phone from "Nico" we found out his name later, get this, saying he was gonna MURDER me. My husband and I took our food back, got our money back and will never, ever, ever step foot in there again. On top of that, when we went back to the restaurant the owner was just as uninterested as his employee. We left there and went to Tino's in Columbia, lovely food and service. I have never, ever been talked to like that by a restaurant employee. He should have been fired. But I guarantee you he is still behind the counter. Watch your back if you decide to patronize this...

If you're in the mood for authentic Italian cuisine, look no further than this fantastic Italian restaurant Cantina Mamma Lucia,Hanover MD! From the moment you step inside, you'll be greeted by warm and friendly staff who will make you feel right at home.

The menu is extensive and offers a wide variety of classic Italian dishes, including delicious antipasti, mouthwatering pasta dishes,Pizza, and expertly prepared meats and seafood. I highly recommend the spaghetti carbonara, which is rich and flavorful, with perfectly cooked pasta and just the right amount of cheese.

The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with dim lighting and rustic decor that transport you straight to the heart of Italy. The wine list is extensive and offers a great selection of both domestic and imported wines, perfect for pairing with your meal.

But what really sets this Italian restaurant apart is the attention to detail and quality of the ingredients. Every dish is expertly prepared using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients, ensuring that each bite is bursting with flavor.

Overall, I highly recommend this Italian restaurant to anyone looking for a truly authentic Italian dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a delicious meal, this restaurant is...
