I walked in to this establishment yesterday, 7/10/2021, to see the manager slicing the turkey and squeezing the excess juice into another plastic bin with his bare hands. No, he did not have gloves on. He proceeded to pick up a canned beverage and drink from the can. Then picked up a container of sliced tomatoes and was going to take them to the back of the store. Between his cross contamination and unhealthy food practices he did not wash nor wipe his hands with soap and water, a wet dish or paper towel, or hand sanitizer. Upon his travels to the back of the store/kitchen (possibly) I asked to speak with him. I knew who he was because I asked the cashier are they supposed to wear gloves she said yes. I said where are his gloves? I said what about him. She said he is the manager. He is a tall caucasian guy about 210 pounds with light colored hair. Yes, he was the manager because I spoke directly with him. I asked him why he was not wearing gloves. He told me he washed his hands. At this point I left the store. There was nothing for me to discuss. This is unsanitary practices and health code violations I told another customer what I witnessed. They left also. So, just post COVID with millions of people dying he finds it acceptable to handling food with his bare "washed" hands. Let's not forget all the health code guidelines and violations. Eat at your own risk. I was in the store about seven to ten minutes to see this with my own eyes. So, I wonder what else takes place in this store if the manger is doing things in this manner? He is supposed to set the example. I refuse to patronize an establish with little regard to my health and welfare as I would be paying customer. Eat at your own risk. You were warned. I called today, Sunday, and was informed the manager's...
Read moreThis was my first time ordering from Deli-Ish and I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. I've driven past this vendor multiple times in Dundalk, but never stopped in. So today I had a company luncheon and saw Deli-ish on the CaterNation sight. I looked over the menu and saw that they weren't too expensive, pretty much reasonable. Knowing I had Faculty with dietary needs, I reached out to a CaterNation agent if this vendor could alter any sandwich for a person who's gluten free and to my surprised they replied by saying the vendor could accommodate. A total WIN!!
I placed my order for an arrival time of 1130 today ( 9/24/25), to my shocker they delivered the food 15 minutes earlier. Something I'm definitely not mad at. The delivery was helpful and very punctual. Another Win!!
The lunch boxes were in a brown box (nothing special). On the inside they had the sandwich/wrap, a bag of kettle chips, and a little serving of coleslaw, with Mike's mustard and mayonnaise packets. The sandwich was HEFTY (in a good way) I ordered a roast beef and another coworker ordered a tuna wrap, which was also HEFTY. They were so hefty I couldn't finish it, I wrapped the remaining up for later. The roast beef was well done (I prefer medium), but I understand why it was well done, but it was still good. My coworker said her tuna was delicious and sweet. She said it tasted like they put sweet onions in the wrap and dill in the tuna salad. The kettle chips were good as always and cole slaw was okay not bland, but not sweet either. Again another win!
Final verdict, I'll be ordering from...
Read moreI must say I never leave reviews but I think this one is important.. I live across the street & have ordered from Delish many times for many years & I have to say how dissatisfied and disappointed I was when I picked up my order. I ordered the holabirds Signature sandwich as I always get , I pick up my order & realize there are no chips in the bag, I thought the staff just forgot to add them, when I questioned it I was given a bag of chips with my order I received the explanation of “inflation” whhhaaat ? Usually all sandwiches come with a bag of chips.. ok great I get it, I sit down to eat my sandwich at home, as I open my sandwich it was not what I ordered (not toasted wheat) as I stated in my order.. ok no worries I took a bite of my Sandwich & the chicken on my sandwich did not taste right at all ! I pulled the chicken off the sandwich & it had a sour smell .. the chicken smelled bad ..and had a nasty greasy film on it ? As I could grasp along with removing the Mayo, I truly could not believe it, I will not order ever again from the Delish on Wise ave, just with knowing that Chicken Salad was bad & it was served to me, I have no words..you sold spoiled poultry in a sandwich… if you choose to do that at least include a bag of stale chips .. good grief ! It went in the trash .. not even worth my time taking it back ..I will just never return .. just one star given for the other orders through...
