VISITED FRIDAY MORNING, DECEMBER 29, 2023 I had a morning of medical matters to take care of: Lab work and MRI. Fasting was one of my assignments. Therefore, while waiting at the Labcorp in Chestertown, MD (I should review them as well!) I stayed looking for coffee shops in the Stevensville/Kent island area since my MRI was in that area. I googled and found this hidden treasure. I’m a Riseup Coffee ☕️ fan, so this place sold me. The little shop is nestled between Red Eyes Dockside & Harris’s Crab 🦀 house so be sure to follow your GOOGLE MAPS! Upon coming off there is sufficient seating. It was tastefully decorated for the holidays. There were even heat lamps inside. It was a slow time of the morning so I didn’t have any line to wait in. However, the guy that took my order wasn’t didn’t greet me or didn’t seem pleasant. But he wasn’t rude or in a mood. Everything looked 😋 ! I ordered a breakfast sandwich: Sausage Egg 🥚 Cheese Biscuit and a coffee. I included a homemade Strawberry 🍓 Pop Tart. Would’ve also purchased donuts 🍩 but the cinnamon sugar was sold out 🙁. They were for hubby. Tart was for daughter. The wait was minimal. I liked my sandwich but was suspicious of whether it was sausage or scrapple (yuk!). Biscuit was light but quite crumbly. The coffee was good. My daughter ate the tart when I gave it to her at home. She enjoyed it. I tried it too and it was great! OVERALL: I look forward to going back when next in the area! Hopefully when the weather is warmer and can enjoy the...

The BEST Espresso Martini I’ve Ever Had!

If you’re an espresso martini lover like me, stop what you’re doing and get to this place immediately! I walked into this coffeehouse expecting a cozy cup of coffee and left absolutely blown away by their espresso martini—it’s hands down the best I’ve ever had.

The balance was perfection: rich, bold espresso with just the right hint of sweetness, silky texture, and that gorgeous crema on top that baristas and mixologists alike strive for. The vodka was smooth, and whatever magic they added gave it this luxurious, velvety finish. You could tell it was crafted with care, not just tossed together like at some bars.

Beyond the drink itself, the vibe of the place made the experience even better—warm lighting, chill background music, and staff who really know their stuff. They even talked me through the ingredients and recommended other pairings. You can tell this place takes pride in its craft.

If you want a drink that’s both a pick-me-up and a wind-down, this espresso martini is it. I’ll definitely be back—and bringing friends with me next time! Ask for Eva she...

It’s a nice place and I like to work there when visiting Kent Island area. I thought it was part of Harris Crab House, but they have some rule of no outside food allowed. Which I get but no food from Harris Crab House seems a bit weird. Especially if you’re affiliated and you don’t have a lunch offering and share restrooms with Harris Crab House.

The coffee, deserts and breakfast sandwiches are good the home made nutty buddy is too. I would consider changing the rules for Harris Crab House lunch.

10/10/24. Update. The owners have locked all the power outlets to prevent people from using laptops, working and eating. I loved working and having coffee in the mornings. WTF. I would work morning when in the area. The water view was wonderful. I will not be back and will spend my money somewhere else. I guess business is so good they don’t need to allow remote workers or business meetings at a...

Woah! I’m from northern Virginia so I am used to seeing all sorts of nice coffee and dessert shops but this nice “hidden” gem in Kent Island takes the cake! Only a 50 min drive from Springfield, VA but totally worth the drive. The shop is very quaint with nice atmosphere. Good outdoor seating area with a hidden boardwalk in the back. So the coffee was awesome (Madagascar and Campfire Latte). Very unique! Nutty Buddy ice cream cone was also yummy! Would give the ice cream a 5/5 if it was on a freshly made crunchy cone but the ice cream itself was good. Didn’t get a chance to take a photo because I ate it lol.

We discovered this place by accident. We just finished dinner and decided to stroll and saw this place. The café au 'lait was good and perfect pairing with our traditional Smith Island cake. We ate our cake and drank our coffee with the perfect view of the water and watched a beautiful sunset. We will try other bakery treats next time. The next day, we went to get breakfast to go plus coffee. It wasn't the same as yesterday. The coffee tasted like ordinary not so good quality coffee and the pastries didn't seem fresh? Day old? It was disappointing. Maybe come in the evenings?
