Abingdon DUNKIN ZERO customer service!! Awful Experience! Go anywhere else.. please
Dunkin “New” App is awful along with this local Dunkin. I wanted to redeem some points from the hundreds of dollars I give this local location. I produced QR they scan, say it didn’t work. (Meaning their technology not mine). The manger/Owner who has mastered the ability to be rude, condescending, ignorant and just plain mean. Said and I quote “This is your problem to call customer service about, not my problem. You HAVE TO PAY! I was until today in that drive thru line every day spending $5-$10. Maybe that’s not a lot today but at the end of the year it sure is and they have absolutely lost my business and my faith not only in this location but in the direction of this company. This new latest greatest app “loyalty” it’s just away for us to all spend more and get less back, especially when it doesn’t work. I am now the 4th person I know that has had this same exact issue with the redemption of points.
Oh How easy it would have been for the manager to say oh hey bud I see you every day let me take care of this one for you sorry about “our” technology issues! But NO, much easier to say it’s my problem. DUNKIN you do not have a strangle hold on the coffee business. Starbucks might cost more but they are professional and understand the definition of...
Read moreFirst, ⚠️ I had to ask for my change Twice. I handed a $5 for a drink that was $4.54 and I had to ask reportedly (3x) for my change back from the five dollar bill I handed over; I received attitude from the drive-through employee; then the change that he gave me was in accurate—$0.50. It seems like they are more interested in just moving people along drive-through even if they take more/less money than transactions. Second, ⚠️ I didn’t get a receipt, and I wasn’t offered one. How do I not realize that I handed a $5 bill I would have not realized I need to change back. This isn’t the first time this is happened at this location – the other (2x) times I thought my memory was foggy and in accurate – but this time I realize it’s not me it’s the location, (1.) not giving receipts, and (2.) handling money inappropriately.
I believe if I had to use the app to order this interaction wouldn’t have bothered me because I would’ve prepaid the Exact amount for my order. However, because I’ve had this experience more than 2x at this location (with cash) I am not comfortable coming here anymore.
I’m not trying to scare people off, but I feel like others should be aware before they come here. If you don’t mind paying More than what you should (with cash), live your life; but if you prefer to pay the price that is accurate be aware of...
Read moreThis is a sad review for me to write, because I wouldn't have always chosen to give this location a negative review. But within the last year, it's gotten worse and worse.
The food (especially the donuts) have gone from tasting great, to bring stale. Very stale.
But the food isn't why I'm writing this review. Buckle up, it's story time...
My best friend and her daughter went to this DD, like we always do every morning. They place an order, what they receive is wrong. And their receipt proves it. Her daughter goes inside to ask they fix the order, proceeds to get yelled at and scolded by a female worker, putting my friends daughter (who is just 15) in tears.
The worker then CHARGES the daughter in order to correct the order. And when she walks out back to the car, they check the bag, and the order is still wrong.
The DD then charges them a 3rd time in order to correct it. So, in total, my friend ended up paying over $60 for a mistake that DD continued to make, on top of bringing a teenager to tears with the woman's awful customer service.
We will not be returning to support this location. Convenience isn't worth...
