Fidel’s Peruvian Chicken is the most underrated Pollo spot in Montgomery County. They have amazing Peruvian style rotisserie chicken. The green hot sauce is the same as other pollo spots but their yellow sauce has extra seasoning and is the best I’ve had. The chicken is well seasoned and their sautéed spinach and also beans are healthy and flavorful. I just tried Ceviche here today for the first tome and it was amazing. Comparable to ceviche I’ve had from fancy more expensive Latino restaurants. The side of sweet potatoes was absolutely delicious, it was infused with clove flavor, must have been soaked in some type of clove infused marinade. I absolutely loved it.
2024 update: I’m sad to say the food at Fidel’s has gone down the hill a bit, it’s not as good as it was a year ago. The chicken and beans aren’t as flavorful and customer service isn’t as good as it used to be either. The last two times I went, I didn’t get the right things that I ordered. This used to be my go to chicken spot by my job. Sadly I don’t go much anymore because of the decline in food quality and customer service. I hope they improve these things again and go back to the way they were when they...
Read moreDoesn’t feel good to give a bad rating to a local small business, but this is now a trend. A few weeks ago, I tried to call and order through their website multiple times, but my call wouldn’t be picked up or the order wouldn’t process. I finally came to the store just to see if they were open, and they said they never received any phone calls or orders. I eventually got my order after waiting 45 minutes. Today I called and was told that the order would be ready in 30 minutes. Knowing my previous experience, I came 45 minutes later, and they told me to wait another 15 minutes. The lady at the counter claimed that she didn’t know why the other employee said it would be 15 minutes because the chicken wouldn’t be ready for an additional 30 minutes! If you’re keeping track of the delay, that’s a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes when we were initially told 30 minutes. I don’t see this place staying in business long if this...
Read moreDear neighbors and colleagues,
If I led or office-managed a faith-based organization anywhere near or within a four mile radius of Fidel’s Peruvian Chicken Resturant on New Hampshire Ave, then I would frequently arrange to supplement our own church, temple or mosque’s hot faith community lunch or dinner offerings with Fidel’s well-prepared food items. The Fidel’s chicken that I enjoy is moist, flavorful, and fall-off-the-bone amazing! Fidel’s servers are welcoming, polite and professional. Their dining area was well lit, clean, simple, attractive and new. The surrounding are is safe. And Fidel’s sizable parking area is absolutely free. Honestly, you really can’t go wrong!
I have never written a fast food review before. I must confess that I am delighted to offer this one.
