======Update January 2025====== Unfortunately, something seems to have changed at this restaurant. After several months, we decided to give it another try since our usual spot was closed. We ordered three dishes, and unfortunately, none of them tasted good. The fried rice was essentially just rice with soy sauce. One dish, which was supposed to feature grilled chicken, came with fried, battered chicken instead. The tofu had a noticeably bitter taste. Overall, the food taste was disappointing, except for the steamed rice—which was great, but, well, it was just steamed rice.
When I arrived to pick up the order, it wasn’t ready, and the restaurant itself was freezing. I had to wait about 10 minutes. While I understand trying to save on heating costs in a pickup-only establishment, I felt bad for the lady working the front desk—she was wearing a heavy coat, and it was clearly too cold for anyone to work there comfortably.
I wish I could recommended it. But it truly disappointed.
ORIGINAL REVIEW======= This is my to-go place when craving Chinese comfort food takeout. Is fast, close to home and reliable. There are only two tables in there, so this place is mainly for takeout. I've never seen anyone dining in (even before pandemic). Food has been consistently good here. We do tend to order the same thing every time, so can't speak for all the items on the menu.
This place is cash only. So make sure you bring cash.
Plenty of parking. Conveniently located close to Giant (and lots of other businesses) in case you need to do some shopping while waiting for your order.
All in all a great place to get your Chinese food...
Read moreI don’t know what’s going on with this place but the service here has taken a nosedive. Previously I ordered food to get delivered to my house, and they canceled my delivery order for unknown reasons. I had to call back constantly to figure out what the problem was. When I was finally able to get my order delivered, it wasn’t what was ordered at all.
Tonight, I went into the restaurant to place my order in person to avoid any confusion. All of the employees were standing outside (looked to be a work meeting maybe). Inside, a child was working the front area to place orders. I started out asking to order a combination plate. She says “Do you know what a combination plate is?” I said yes. She then told me to explain it. I said a plate with rice and chicken. She proceeded to put my order in and I ordered sesame chicken with broccoli instead of rice. She looked at me like I was making an outrageous request. I said never mind and walked out of the restaurant. If your workers aren’t going to respectfully communicate with potential customers, please do not have them taking orders. I won’t be back unless...
Read moreWe travel for work and always try at least one Chinese restaurant wherever we go. This will definitely be one of the most memorable. The food was very good - she made the broccoli with chicken spicy for me and the boneless ribs came with much bigger pieces of meat than most places serve. Also, the wanton soup had to have had some sesame oil in it which is a nice touch you don't always see.
I always order the same items and crab rangoon is always a must. These were some of the best I've had for a long while outside of making them at home. I could really taste the green onion.
The service was also great. The owner was very friendly and her daughter, who has a cool personality, played the piano while we waited - a little George Gershwin and some Bach.
After the great service and meal, I realized I had forgotten to get a receipt. I went back two days later and the owner was so helpful and accomodating in a situation that was entirely my fault. Above and beyond.
Wing Wah is among the top of my long list of Chinese take out restaurants we have been to across the country. Thank...
