The employees are incompetent and RUDE and they never give you the correct amount of fries. First: I like a lettuce wrap and when I place the order online to be picked up I opt for that AND add lettuce to it. Meaning extra lettuce. There is no way to type out the special request and it is obvious that it is confusing, so I explain what I mean when I arrive at the store. The last two times that I went in there the employees acted like I was crazy for wanting extra lettuce. Time before last employee said they didn’t know if they could do that without charging me extra. What? Unlimited toppings are a thing at this restaurant so I’m not sure why extra lettuce would cost extra. In the end, I did not pay for it, but the attitude was undesirable. Then today, I went to explain it to the employee who was in charge of setting up the to go bags. I was very friendly and doing so and she stared at me blankly did not move a muscle in her face and did not respond with any words to me. She just turned and talk to her coworker.
Now to the fries: Where other locations give sooooo many extra beyond the cup, Odenton doesn’t even fill the cup up.and don’t dare ask about it because they will be aggressively rude. After this happening on multiple occasions, tonight I asked them if they just don’t adhere to the usual 5 guys standards on fries and the employee was argumentative and did NOT end up giving me the right amount. I have taken to ordering a larger size but that doesn’t help as they just under fill the larger cup even more. Then after he was argumentative and rude I said “OK” and turned to leave and he started shouting have a nice day in a rude loud tone. Astonishingly other employees joined IN so I was being yelled at the entire time I walked out of the store. And this was after I tipped them.
I patronized the Crofton/Gambrills Location for years and never ever had one single problem there. The food was always right and they were always pleasant. Even addressed me by name and made pleasant conversation.
We will never go back to Odenton despite having moved right down the street. I will travel the extra distance to the one in Crofton where the employees are actually nice and don't Act like they are doing...
Read moreI had lunch at Five Guys in Odenton Maryland this afternoon. There was no line or wait but customers were picking up orders and came behind me as though it were busy. I was met by a young lady who greeted me with a smile, the receipt says: Employee “Timothy”, but it was not Timothy who took my order. I knew what I wanted and ordered quickly and had no problems with ordering. Paid w/ debt and left a $5 cash tip. Hotdog, Fries and Coke, normal wait time, served with a smile. I dined in and the dining area was clean. Unless you specify, nothing will be cooked to order, no matter where you go. The hotdog was good, bun was soggy. The fries were not crispy but were hot and done enough to eat. I eat out a lot because I’m on the go all the time. I can go anywhere I choose. I’m not picky, but I pay for my food to be prepared as close to my liking as possible. The food was over priced and I could have paid half the price at place just a 1/4 of mile away and have been offered a meal deal and not from the McDonald’s across the street, there are many options to choose from. You cannot order a hotdog fries and coke at Five Guys as a meal, you have to pay full price for each item. So today, I paid $3.08 for a coke ($1. for ice $1 for the cup $1 for the soda? WOW), a “Little (soggy) Fry” for - FIVE DOLLARS FORTY NINE CENTS & an $8 hotdog. While my wages never went up after Covid and everything in the economy did I can still manage but I can’t for the life of me understand HOW Five Guys justifies a THREE DOLLAR and .08 soda. I will not be returning to any Five Guys anytime soon, or suggest to anyone I know to grab a meal at Five Guys unless they check the prices first. It’s not ok for ONE person to spend SEVENTEEN DOLLARS on a quick lunch. I need ONE maybe two napkins and was given SEVEN. The fries served in a bag came with TWO cups. The amount of resources and condiments wasted is...
Read moreI meant to post this a while ago but kept forgetting. Just over a month ago we placed an order over the phone. Picked up our food and went home. After getting home realized that my little bacon cheeseburger had no bacon. No big deal, but we were charged for it and I was sad... because we all know that Five Guys bacon is the best. Called the store and Ms. Myeisha apologized for the inconvenience and told us that she would completely comp our meal the next time we went in.
A week later we went in and received our free meal (we both only got burgers,) with a huge serving of complimentary fries. Myeisha was there and apologized again for the inconvenience and even offered us a shake on the house. We respectfully declined as she had already done more than enough... especially since I was just missing bacon.
Once our food was ready she had a staff member personally bring us our food and apologized again. I've got to say, this is absolutely fantastic customer service! The food is always delicious and the staff has always been very kind and respectful.
I also hear that Ms. Myeisha is currently in the running for management. My opinion probably won't account for much, but she is very well deserving of this position. With the quality of service she provides, I'm sure she'll continue to be an asset to this...
