So ya want to know about Fives Guys Huh? they aren't the healthiest so eat moderately so i won't hear about you having a heart attack trying to get back in your car here are the facts They use only Peanut Oil. They use only fresh ground beef. There are no freezers in Five Guys locations, just coolers. Nothing is ever frozen. Five Guys' success is as much based on its portions, very large by fast food burger chain standards, as its food. It's hard to leave here hungry. Besides the beloved unlimited free peanuts, the regular burgers and especially the fries slant towards the enormous end of the spectrum. A regular burger has two good size patties and is quite hearty, and even the "little" burger, with one patty, is bigger than most fast food models. A regular fries is more than enough for two, and the advertised size is irrelevant because the Five Guys signature move is to fill it, place it in a paper bag, then dump many more fries in, giving you a sack full. The "little" fry order gets the same treatment and is more than most people can (or should) eat. The burgers, an 80/20 chuck blend, taste fresh and are quite juicy, especially given that like almost all fast food burgers they are cooked to well done. But what sets them even further apart is the wide range of tree toppings in addition to the paid choices of cheese and bacon. Any burger can be had with up to 15 toppings, from standards like ketchup and onions to grilled onion, green peppers, grilled mushrooms, jalapeños and A1 Sauce. If you like a lot of stuff, you can really load the already-big burgers up to gargantuan proportions. Five Guys Burgers are not exactly life-changing, but they are much better than average, consistently fresh, juicy, tasty and customized to a high level. Staff is unerringly friendly, and has been in every location I have visited, without exception. Pilgrimage-worthy?: No, but among the best chain burgers...
Read moreWe stopped by here after visiting a park. We love Five Guys but were left dissatisfied with this particular location. We are a family of 6 and ordered food for everyone (so you can probably imagine the total). We didn't receive all of our food and the fries weren't heaping like every other Five Guys resturant we have ever been to nationwide. One burger had aluminum foil in it as well. The quality, and the quantity did not match the price or the experiences we are used to. On the plus side as soon as we notified the staff that our order wasn't correct they did work quickly to make the missing food. And one of the employees was very engaging and had great...
Read moreI'd stopped going to Five Guys because I didn't really care for their bacon cheeseburger. Today, getting a plain burger, it was good.
But here's my issue. I ordered a "hamburger" right from the menu. The server asks "wait, do you want the double?" I said, I want the hamburger, as it is on the menu, so yes, a double. If I wanted a single I'd asked for a "little hamburger". He says, "they have us ask that because it's confusing". I said, sure, so change your menu. A hamburger SHOULD be a single patty. A "double hamburger" SHOULD have two patties. Etc. So change the menu to reflect what it is you're serving so there's no confusion. Simple.
Anyway, the...
