This is the second time we were here, we had absolutely great experience the first time, that’s why we came back. I know I can’t expect the service be like at Wolfgang or Morton’s , but this time is absolutely the worst experience ever! If I could give zero star I would! We are not going back ever again.
Start with the moment we stepped in the door, 3 caucasian female hostesses standing by the door chatting, 2 of them were back facing the door, and the third one who was facing the door appeared to be a manager who I’m sure saw us coming in, after we were standing there for 2 minutes waiting for them to finish chatting, she finally made suggestion to the 2 who were back facing us that there’re customers waiting, at least that 2 apologized to us for back facing us and made us wait, but the 1 who looked like to be a manager didn’t say anything at all! As a manager, she doesn’t deserve that job! It looks like she doesn’t know anything about customer service!
As for the food, over $100 bill for 2 people, steak came out room temperature, causing butter on top of the steak wouldn’t even melt, the male server back and forth 5 times, couldn’t remember to bring the steak knife, my boyfriend had to eat the room temperature steak with the regular knife that set on the table, he finally brought the steak knife out and apologized when my boyfriend had only one bite of steak left.
The wine glass had multiple clear lip stick marks on it and the leg of the wine glass was so sticky, makes me wonder if they ever wash the glass at all! When I showed him the dirty glass and asked him if I could get another one, he did not even apologize when he took that dirty wine glass away nor when he brought a new one out.
The whole time we were there, our server and that caucasian manager who were at the door chatting earlier, they both were paying a lot more attention to the tables right next to us, which were 5 or 6 people tables. I understand big tables big tips, but our bill was over $100, 20% tips that’s at least $20, but for that service we received that night, if it’s me he did not deserve any tips at all.
The only good for that meal was the salmon, at least it...
Read moreDuring summer restaurant week, I attended for brunch and dinner on another day. Both instances our parties were completely blown away by the top-notch service and the innovative, fresh and tasty food offerings. Having traveled the world and taking pleasure in culinary delights, I just have to again reiterate Libs Grill deserves a Michelin star. I mean, come on for brunch a caramelized onion and butternut squash omelette. Where else can you get that? So tasty, the pairings were perfect and they don’t rely on butter and extra salt to make something taste good, they use local ingredients, that are fresh and it looks lovely and it taste even better. In my humble opinion, the star for dinner had to be the peach glazed meatloaf again you don’t get these combinations anywhere else. Whomever is coming up with this is a sheer culinary genius. Now you might want to just stop the review here, but the service is just as good if not better than the food pairings. At brunch Justin was our server and he was very accommodating made suggestions for us and was just a delight. On our dinner outing we had Jenna as a server again can’t say enough how attentive, professional and courteous she was. So nothing is ever 100% perfect. I would be remiss if I didn’t at least annotate a couple of things that Lib’s could improve upon, in my humble opinion . Since I’m a regular, this was not confusing to me, but the promo for restaurant week was a bit confusing because there was no lunch offerings, but that wasn’t stated anywhere. Also with the revenue that this location is bringing in it’s time for an update, the tables are wobbly. The chairs are a bit dated, and there’s marks on the walls probably from the massive amount of Christmas decorations, they up during the holiday season. Hopefully they spring for professional decorators this year because I can tell you, as a patron I LOVE IT, BUT if I worked there and I had to do those decorations, on top of a busy dinner shift, I would quit...
Read moreDuring my recent business trip to Baltimore, I decided to dine at Lib’s Grill. The restaurant boasts a pleasant atmosphere, with two distinct sections—a bar area partially separated by a glass partition, and a more traditional dining space with tables and chairs.
One of the highlights of my experience at Lib’s Grill was the friendly and helpful staff, from the welcoming hostess to the attentive waitress. Their excellent service definitely enhanced my overall dining experience. I was impressed by the speed of service, and all dishes arrived at my table piping hot.
For starters, I followed the recommendation of the hostess and tried the Fish Tacos, and I must say, she was spot on. The tacos were delicious, both in taste and presentation. The ample piece of breaded fish was perfectly deep-fried, resulting in a delightful dish.
Moving on to the main course, I opted for the Roseda Burger. Once again, the presentation was pleasing to the eye. The fries were thin cut and cooked right, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The burger itself was cooked to perfection and was not overshadowed by the bread. Adding grilled onions provided an extra layer of flavor that elevated the dish. However, I did notice that the brioche roll started to fall apart towards the end of the meal, which was a bit disappointing.
While Lib’s Grill offers a great dining experience overall, I couldn't help but feel that the prices were a bit steep for what was offered. With some adjustments in pricing and perhaps addressing the bread quality, Lib’s Grill could truly excel as a dining destination in the Baltimore area. Overall, it’s a decent restaurant that I would recommend with some...
