3rd edit. THERE WILL NEVER BE A NEXT TIME, but for those of uou who do choose to go complain at the time you are there.
Carla-
I have just reviewed the footage. The bouncer eating at the front door at 8pm was in a bright red security shirt. It says security across the back and has a logo on the front. No security staff is permitted to work the shift without one. This was an alarming detail, so I specifically checked and confirmed. They are in uniform. I can also hear and see him communicating with guests as they walk in.
Vertical IDs, regardless of the birthdate are not permitted in my building. This is the standard and rule at all five locations. The law states you must present ID. We as an establishment have the right to deny any customer- especially when it is against our policy.
It is in fact our job to estimate and guess ages by features, etc. We are actually trained to do so by the liquor board and have multiple certifications under our belts to do so as well. I know that that may feel off putting to you, but dealing in an industry of alcohol, live music, large crowds, we all have many certifications in the matter and must be on alert. On weekend nights we encourage staff to recheck ids if someone looks young. The consequences for serving minors are extremely vast and one would think customers would be happy we go above and beyond to verify and not serve minors.
The previous review in question that you are speaking of, I was also present for directly. This was during St. Patrick’s Day, and the table for cover collection, staff, and signs (as well as a whole fence making it obvious it was a huge event) stating there was a cover were outside, so this is irrelevant in your matter.
I’m sorry that there are policies that customers do not like. There always will be. But my security staff keeps everyone safe and will continue to assume age and check when necessary. I too have been in customer service for over 20 years and have been working high volume, rowdy bars for 15. Security has a very important job to do and of course people don’t like being questioned or stopped, but it is what it is.
This may feel like I am refuting your claims, but I am clarifying these things for you to help you understand. If there are ever issues with food it is best to handle it on the spot. I know Morgan would have gladly replaced your overcooked items.
Thank you for providing details for me to look into. I will always take these matters seriously and look into the nature of the review, no matter how small, to ensure my staff is upholding my expectations.

EDITED after reading the owners response to another Google review.
The security at the door needs additional training. If you cannot gleen that from the comments, I will spell it out for you. Our first attempt at Looney PH we were treated rudely by the staff at the door. This time, we came in at 8pm, proper ID for everyone and the guy at the door was still rude. I WILL TAKE YOUR RECOMMENDATION AND FIND ANOTHER BAR IN THE AREA.
I am not a fan of my young adults being hassled even with ID. Do not assume people's ages. We chose to leave, even though the band was still playing. The intermission crowd became a little too raunchy for...

Parking sucked on a Friday at 1:00pm (not loony’s fault) they were not busy we were seated right away. Sat in back room. 2 seater table. Felt like the table next to us was super close. Felt like We’re eating with the people next to us. I even think the lady next to us was eavesdropping ( at no fault of loony’s. Think she was just nosie)
Came for steamed mussels. Opened at 11:00 we got there at one. Server said sorry our mussels are sold out for today. What? Two hours in to day and they were sold out. Wow.
Ordered margaritas crush. Tasted like lime soda. She ordered Man Crush. Tasted like bar towel was rung out. Super strong not pleasant.
Ordered Seafood boat appetizer not bad but not what we expected. Listed as shrimp, lobster, scallops and crab in cream sauce served with toast . Realy not sure what to expect. Came out like seafood soup. Every thing in a bowl of sauce . Sauce Kinda tasted like it should be over pasta crab was all at the bottom no consistency shrimp and scallops were good. Lobster looked like and were the size of crayfishes.
Cream of crab was good. Seemed like all the crab was just dropped on top.
She ordered crab cake melt crab cakes on pretzel roll open face with chease on top. Ok. Nothing to write home about. On the cold/room temp side. Not super hot.
I got rock fish tocos. I get them all the time Should have coleslaw in bottom. It was shredded cabbage with no sauce. That made it dry. Fish was big. Good portions. Should not have tasted that fishy. Good fish should not taste fishy. It had a chilie mayo on top. Super over powering. Belched that for about 2 hours after only eating half of a taco. She ate half of one. Neither one of us could finish one taco. We sent them back. Not pleasant. Server had them removed from check. We did not ask. That was nice.
Parking sucks Seating close to get more people in not comfy Service good Use caution when ordering drinks Food not out standing kinda let down.
Next time will probably just hit Wendy’s drive thru(Wendy’s under construction only...
Read moreThe only reason I am remotely giving this place a one star is because of our server Blake. It was a friday night, so yes i understand it will be busy. I walk in with two other people, therefore a table for three. We ask our host how long the wait will be and they had no idea, also the managers of Looneys should really consider getting the “open table app” rather than using dry erase markers for placement of an establishment this big. It will keep your staff more organized along with more money for people in service so they can flip the tables and tables are being distributed evenly throughout your servers. Anyway so i suggest 15-20 minutes? The poor host truly had no idea, and she was by herself the time i came in. With an entire restaurant packed with massive bar volume, along with the live band setting up. Once we finally got seated 40-50 minutes later. We were sitting for 15 minutes, and each server was ignoring us, either they were unaware of their assigned sections or they wanted to close out and leave for the night, which doesn’t make much sense since they already had tables that still have not received a check yet. Finally we flag down someone to serve us, and it is Blake. He said he’ll be right back because i know we were not in his section, not to mention he was taking more away from tables than the busser was, and that was with all the tables not just his section. Blake took us gladly with fast and spectacular service. I would say that this is a cool place for live music and drinking and having an all around good time, but either the management or the owner needs to highly consider reorganizing the restaurant so you can have a faster turn around rate to increase the money of the restaurant and the servers. It might help to have a two hour seating limit on the menu as well unless it is a party of 6 or more and they can pay for a table. Rather than camping...
