Lorena's opened for business about a week or two ago and we stopped in to carry out something yesterday, November 9th after a doctors appointment and I'm so glad we did! First off, the folks there that greeted me and took my order were extremely friendly. Being our first time there we only ordered a couple of burritos, one shrimp and one chicken. While I waited a short reasonable time for my order, I sat at one of tables and spoke to one of waitresses while also watching our order being prepared. The inside of the restaurant is pretty basic with a couple of large LED televisions and it was extremely clean. Once I got our burritos home we dug in and WOW! Not only were they substantially larger than any of the burritos from other local restaurants that I've had, they were crazy delicious! The chicken in my burrito, as well as the shrimp in my Mother's burrito I was told, was marinated and grilled just right and all the other ingredients included in it... rice, grilled veggies, pico, guac and cheese were fresh and prepared to perfection! We are now so addicted that we ordered the same burritos plus a taco salad for my Mother that looked so fresh and beautiful, that it was a shame to eat it! During my writing of this review my Mother hadn't eaten the taco salad yet but I guarantee from the looks of it, that it was as good as the burritos we had previously and I'm sure everything else on their menu! Eventually when my Mother can get around better after her recent surgery, we will definitely dine in at Lorena's to try more of their menu but until then we'll continue to order carry out regularly, at least a couple times a month! By the way, I asked and they told me that in the very near future they will be offering delivery through one of the delivery apps like Grubhub, Uber Eats, or DoorDash. which will be...
Read moreI decided to stop in this recently opened place Lorena's. The inside was clean and decorated nicely. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with menu selections. They offer a nice selection of Salvadorian, Peruvian and Mexican dishes along with some staples like cheese steaks and such. My Fiance is from Puerto Rico and the food she prepares is much like many of the dishes offered. I opted for the special they were offering for the day. It was a saute chicken with onion, Carrots and seasonings. I requested fried rice and black beans for the sides. The rice is Peruvian style with the pieces of chicken and egg mixed within. A meal in itself. The chicken was a portion made up of a drumstick and a large piece of breast. It was cooked so tender the meat fell off the bones. Everything was fresh and seasoned perfectly. My waitress was attentive and smiled the entire time. The price was very reasonable. I didn't notice until I had already paid my check that they offer tres leches!!! My Fiance makes this delicious Latin desert for me at home and I've never seen it on a menu before. One of many good...
Read moreI have been eating here for a long time and never got sick from there food. On Friday December 13th my husband went there to pick Carry out for dinner. It was a little bit before closing. An hour or so after eating both mine and my husbands stomach was very crampie. I was up all night in the bathroom. So I know it was from the food we ordered. Then Saturday night I ate the Guacamole Dip and Chips and the stomach issues started again keeping me from going to my Stepdaughter house to visit with the family and grandchildren. If you work in a food service place and you are one of the cooks you should stay home because you are compromising everyone who ate your cooking or maybe you forgot to wash your hands and grab the chips because honestly I think that's what gave my husband and I the...
