So I’m a repeat customer at the Mitchellville location. I’ve had several incidents there which were slightly annoying. In which includes not giving correct information on pick up times for large orders over 400.00. But most recently I placed an order for 40 people at a local hospital. I was told by someone that my order amount was 600.00!! After being told 1 minutes before it was 300.00. The people at the desk taking calls need to be trained on listening to the customers. After all the customers keep you all in business. Needless to say I asked to speak with a manager Derrick. He seemed uninterested in what I had to say. Took nothing I was saying as important. Even when I told him the person was trying to overcharge me 300.00. I even asked if I could have my order picked up a half hour early. Derrick told me I would have to pay upfront first. So I complied, did my part and paid for my order up front. I called back to ensure the pick up time would be available. He then says let me check with the chef…..ok so I wait for that information. He says that won’t be a problem. Then I ask for plates and plastic utensils. Derrick says we don’t have utensils because we don’t have in-house dining. Huh?? Weird but you give them to customers who buy food daily. Ok so let’s move on, I then ask if we can have plates. He says no problem 😳 you can give plates but nothing to eat with. So to sum this up, the following day it’s time to pick up the food. No opens the door at 10:30 they see us at the door but no one opens it. But a fedex drivers shows up and then they answer the door. Had the fedex driver not showed up we would have not let us go in at our 10:30 pick up. This place has the worst customer service and the manager needs people skills.(never received the plates by the way). After spending 430.00 you’d think plates come with the meal. Read moreVery organized, I was able to complete an online order via text sent after I selected the option via phone. It sent me directly to the Web page, which was easy to navigate. I ordered the Fricasse Chicken in light gravy, Escoveitched Red Snapper (Vinger Based); there are two options tomato-based and vinger-based, and Oxtail dinner. Oxtails were great and had thin gravy, so it was not as heavy as traditional but packed with flavor. Love the fact that it was packed in a bowel so my rice and peas was not drenched and soggy. The chicken in its tomato-based gravy was very tender and the flavor was well infused into the meat. The Snapper was good as well. I got the vinegar and vegetables on the side, as stated before I like to control the saturation, especially with fried fish. The vinegar gave it a nice hit and I could change the flavor profile. Also, i forgot when ordering line when I arrived it was a contactless pick up. Food was placed in a warmer and I simply had to find my name, select the first initial of my last name and the cade opened. Really is a restaurant that is about quality and satisfaction. I also ordered a jerk chicken with rice an peas with cabbage for me older sister. When i received my order i look in my bag to make sure i had everything i ordered. When i opened up the box with the food the chicken that was in the box look like oven done bake chicken. So i brought it up to the counter an told them this isnt jerk chicken the guy said "yes it is wat you might be use to is the 1 that done on a grill i said yes an maybe you all need to pay someone that can cook it on the grill right rather than selling people oven done bake chicken and calling it jerk chicken". I can say 1 thing i do like your coco bread but you all need to go back to the drawing board on the jerk chicken an come again. Mi no know a wey uno come off a give ppl curry chicken garvy with uno so call jerk chicken. Mi neva si nothing inna mi life like this yet.
