Nicolletti's Pizza — Restaurant in Maryland

While my family and I usually enjoy Nicolletti's pizza, our experience today really left a sour taste in my mouth. We placed our order online as we usually do and we're told to pick up in 20 minutes. We showed up to the resturaunt at the stated pickup time and the employee said that it would just be a few minutes and he would bring the pizzas out to me when they were finished. Which is fine, I fully understood that they were a little busy. After about 5 minutes I noticed some boxes that had been set on the window that looked like they could be ours but trusting that they knew what they were doing I didn't say anything. After waiting for an additional 30 minutes after this I was getting frustrated and went up to the counter again. The employee noticed me and went to the kitchen to check on my order and said it was the next one up and he would bring it right out to me. A few minutes later he brought me some boxes and I left, no apology for waiting an hour since the order was placed or anything. My wife and I headed home and once we got home we found that they gave us the complete wrong order. After I drove back to the resturaunt to get it corrected, it turns out that my order had been sitting on the window for over 40 minutes at this point. I understand that sometimes mix ups happen, but the employee never asked for my name again to verify what I was waiting for and ended up making me waste around an hour between waiting and having to come back to get my correct order. Even though we received our correct order in the end, I wish we had not wasted our money on pizza that had sat for 40 minutes and gone somewhere else instead. Needless to say, I don't believe we will be going back to Nicolletti's...

I've been going here since the 80's and it's always been good until my last 2 visits. I have a boat in a marina about 8-10 miles away in Solomon's and like to bring family and friends for pizza. I brought some fishing buddies a few weeks ago and ordered a WHITE pizza with sausage, my friends ordered other styles of pizza. They brought me a regular pizza with tomato sauce and when I pointed out that the pizza was wrong the server said they were sorry and would have the manager come over. Never happened. So I overlooked the mistake. Last night I took a friend there for dinner and we ordered 2 pizzas in 2 separate orders but at the same time. My friend's pizza arrived piping hot and he waited for me to get mine before starting to eat. After 15 minutes I asked him not to wait any longer, and to eat while his was hot. After 20 minutes I took my number to the cashier to inquire about my pizza. She apologized, looked behind her and there it sat on the shelf by the kitchen. She brought it to the table and appologized again saying she was sending her manager to see me. She even left my order number visible on the table so he/She could find me. I proceeded to eat my luke warm pizza, waiting for the manager to no avail. I finished, boxed up my leftovers and dropped the order number off to the young lady and left. With all the restaurants in that area to eat at I will wait to go back again or to recommend...

Nicolletti's sent some sample pizzas to the hotel I'm staying and the pizza was pretty decent. I thought it was a nice gesture and a smart marketing move, so I decided to go there to pick up dinner and thank them for sending the samples. After ordering a calzone I asked to speak to the manager. Well, I waited for the calzone to be cooked and never saw the manager. I can understand that it may be busy at 6:30 PM, but in half an hour I would think the manager could spare a minute to talk to a customer that requested an audience. On my way out, one of the cashier ladies asked if I still wanted to talk to the manager and I expressed my disappointment for his lack of response and told her it wasn't necessary. While I was waiting for my food, another customer went to the counter to ask for a take-out box. Don't they have a waitstaff? I was looking forward to a positive experience and was disappointed--I won't be returning.

Oh, the calzone? It was just OK... the meat sauce on the side was pretty good. But, I still won't be going back. You only get one chance at first...
