Night Owl Vegan — Restaurant in Maryland

Finally was able to catch NOV at the Greenbelt Farmers Market.

Met and got to speak to the owner for a few minutes. She was very welcoming and hospitable, she explained what NOV is and what she specializes in. (Vegan meal plan/prep using raw, natural and organic ingredients)

I was almost drooling by the time she finished giving me the run down of her offerings for the day.

I decided to try the ‘Chickpea empanada’ and one of the ‘PB Brownies’ The brownie was sooooooo fudgy and soft. (Made with applesauce and coconut yogurt*)

Then the ‘Chickpea Empanada’, nice savory flavor.

Everything was super fresh.

Im definitely interested in her other offerings.

Checked out Night Owl Vegan at a vegan Black market pop-up in the Brookland neighborhood in DC.

I got the roasted potatoes and banh mi roll. The roasted potatoes had a nice flavor and they were loaded, which was cool! Loved the added hemp seed. The banh mi roll had really nice flavoring!

I also tried the frittata and biscuit. They were both very good! The frittata was a good consistency and had good flavor!

I haven’t tried the chai tea donut, but I’m looking...

I ordered a tres leches cake a day before I needed it for a birthday party. They were very professional and made a wonderful cake which was more than enough for the number of people. The owner did mention the cake would melt quickly, which I would keep in mind before serving. Delivery charge was $15, and they did a great job with delivery as well. I can't wait for them to...
