My friend and I wanted pizza so we went to the restaurant in person. Right before we turned into the restaurant she expressed how it did not look like a restaurant from the outside of the building. I did not think anything of it at first. We went inside and there was no rating of the restaurant posted for customers to see. The teenager at the counter was on his phone and we walked all the way up to the counter until he put his phone down. Also it was very haphazardly put together inside of the restaurant. Nobody was eating there and half of the chairs were on the table still. After I ordered and paid I asked to use the restroom when I went to the restroom I could smell a very strong urine and dirty smell coming from both the male and the female restrooms. The male restroom would not unlock. So I went to the female restroom and I thought it might be cleaner. When I went in the smell was so overwhelming that I had to hold my breath. When I went to wash my hands there was no soap. I used a paper towel to open the door and to hold the key that the cashier gave me. My friend said my face told the story of everything. After that I started to look more around the restaurant as they were preparing the pizza. All of the workers were male, they were all from another country… maybe India or somewhere in that region, and then I started to get a strange vibe from the restaurant. I looked around to what I could see and the freezer that was near me holding all the ice cream had mold on it from the condensation. The workers did not wear gloves while preparing the food and since I knew there was no soap in the bathroom I’m sure you know what that means. We took our pizzas and put them directly into the trashcan after that experience. I would say if you order the food here go into the restaurant personally look around and then decide if you would actually eat the food. Read moreI don't normally judge a business by reviews. This is due to knowing more folks will leave a negative review before leaving a positive review. So the outcome is misleading. I order from this location quite often due to being Muslim and wanting a pizza with meat that isn't pork. (I don't like chicken and ground beef on my pizza) Today I called and the gentleman answering seemed to be "short" with me. I am a person of high patience and low tolerance...he seemed to be lacking in both. How are you AT WORK and angry with me for calling your place of business for what you offer? Then you are speaking to me as if I am not speaking English when my family has lived in Hanover, Maryland for six or more generations (tracing my great great grandfather back to slavery in Maryland). I don't have a foreign accent, no southern twang nor ebonic slang. I am willing to pay cash for my order and am only ordering from that which your menu offers...................WHAT IS THE DANG PROBLEM? Read moreI want to take a minute to express how well the manager handled a minor mix-up on an order that required no cheese on a steak sub for my sister. She was steaming mad when she found the cheese on the sub after arriving home after making a request to not have cheese on it as it can be very serious for her health. The manager really did handle the order very well once I called him and asked for a replacement to be delivered immediately. Well, he did exactly that. An AMAZING save was made and he helped my sister by sending out a replacement sub literally within 16minutes and 30 seconds from the time I hung up to the time the new sub came to the house. My sister was very impressed and we promise to keep our business with you simply because of the way you handled everything. The manager spotted the issue, corrected it and did a great job correcting it. I am very happy and will recommend this store! I wish more people would take the time to turn a tough situation around. I promise it will make you more business in the long run. Obviously that manager knows how important it is. Please let him know he is doing a good...
