Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Maryland

Did a online order for home delivery. The site said it was preparing the food and kept adding more time. After and hour and a half I got a phone call from a door dash driver...mumbling he can't wait an hour and that I don't have an order. I told him that I have an order and I'm following it on the website. He said no, they canceled it. I hung up on him and called the store. After trying 4 times, I young girl picked up. I told her about the phone call and she said my order was still being made and it would be about an hour. I asked if it was being made right now and she said yes. I said, I'll come pick it up since door dash wasn't going to. She seemed stunned and said I need to call door dash to do that. I said, I didn't order it from door dash, I ordered it from you online. She said the driver would still get paid for your order. I said, that's not my problem...you hired door dash. She then said I could come up and she would figure it out. So I drove up to the store and waited while several upset customers were complaining ahead of me. When it was finally my turn, it was over two hours since I ordered. I told her who I was and she walked away. Five minutes later she came back and pulled some boxes. I asked where the other pizza was and she said that was it. I said I ordered two pizza and this is one. I opened the box and saw that it wasn't even the right pizza. I said this was mine. She then said she had to cancel my order and recharge me to fix door dash or I had to call before she could give me my order. I said, no you can just give me my order. She then said we have to make it. I looked at her and realized there was no management there, they had 5 people walking around, the place was filthy and only one older woman making pizzas. I said, I don't want to wait. She said, I canceled your order so you can do what you want. I just walked away while the line of other customers were waiting. They should just shut this store down, I'll never order...

Ordered 3 pizzas and boneless wings for delivery for a small party. The food was delivered very quickly, but the pizza was the worst I've had in years--worse than stadium pizza, or flea market pizza. If you had told me it just came out of a gas station warming cabinet, I would have believed it. The pizzas were cold, despite being delivered so fast. A friend joked that "pizza hut probably has some pre-made pizzas sitting around", and we laughed, but when these arrived it kind of seemed like it was true. The crust was dry and stale like it was old. One pizza was supposed to have extra cheese but seemed to have the same amount as the other pizzas. One pizza was so unappetizing that only one piece was eaten the entire night (it was just ham on a cheese pizza--nothing weird). I was honestly kind of embarrassed to serve it to my guests. The boneless wings were good, but this isn't "Boneless Wing Hut". It's "Pizza Hut". I can't foresee a circumstance in which I would ever order from...

Good food. Bad service. Poor delivery.

UPDATE: It just keeps getting worse. Tried them again and, incredibly, this location failed even worse than previous.

In each case, the real issue seems to be that they rely on Door Dash which causes late deliveries, missing items, cold food and poor customer service.

What I learned from dealing with this restaurant is NEVER apply a tip online before you get your food. I thought I was being nice to give the tip at the time of order but then Door Dash showed up late and missing items. I complained to the Door Dash guy but he just left...and kept the tip. I called the store and there was nothing they could do having already given him the tip. Now I wait until a Pizza Hut delivery person shows up at my door on time with everything I ordered before I...
