My friends and I went here during the lunch special and personally I felt a little rushed with the food. We were given our appetizers then rushed into the main meal and was constantly asked if we were done even though some were still eating the food. After we were done eating, she came over with the checks, and somewhat under her breath she said "don't forget to leave a tip". When it came time to pay (we paid separately), my friends used their cards and I used a different form of payment. The waitress came over with my check and card and first asked if I had a different card (didn't say it got declined or anything), I said no, so she took it and completed the payment. When she came back with it and it was either time to leave or leave a tip, we did so and she took them back. Then, she came back with only mine and proceeded to ask why I didn't leave a tip on the paper or if I was going to leave it on the table. I did not like her harassing me over and over about a tip. I said I am not leaving a tip (I usually do but the way I was being treated did not deserve one), she looked at the receipt then me and I asked her "what" she said nothing but had an upset/annoyed face. After that, I pretty much got up out of my chair and left because this kind of service was uncalled for and I was the only one who was really getting any kind of question about tipping or use of a...
Read moreThe restaurant staff DOES NOT KNOW WHAT DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AND SPECIAL DIET MEAN. I ordered a MISO RAMEN online with a note " no fish cake" "vegetarian, eggs okay" BUT... a pork based ramen arrived at home even though the order stapled on the restaurant bag had the correct items from my order. The person on the phone kept saying " so, no pork?" which is the tonkotsu type or ramen. I had to repeat to her that being vegetarian means WE DON'T EAT MEAT. ONLY MISO BASED IS VEGAN/VEGETARIAN. So far, this is a terrible change from Edo Mae which was a restaurant with welcoming atmosphere and personable service. SUSHI OISHII owners please teach your staff about the...
Read moreWe came to celebrate our son getting his first job after trade school. I’ve been to a lot of sushi places (including in Tokyo!), and what I really enjoyed about this place is that it has an extensive sushi menu with many specialty rolls. I like to be able to try something that I haven’t tried elsewhere, and they had plenty. And our server was so nice! Complimentary crab tempura appetizer, and complementary cheesecake dessert. In terms of how casual or fancy the atmosphere could be, it’s a perfect blend. I could come here for a casual lunch, or for a nice dinner out, or a celebration. The inside design has all the of the wood work and Japanese motifs, which I...
