The Crepe Escape and Creamery — Restaurant in Woodlawn

I debated writing this because someone else apparently left a review about witnessing the experience I had here. I ordered a lemonade and paid. I didn't look at my receipt, and that was my mistake. I only realized the drink was a fruit tea and not a lemonade after I had taken a sip. I went back and told the guy behind the counter what had happened. At first he took my original drink, and then handed it back to me. I was confused and asked him to take it because I'm not trying to get free drinks here, I just wanted a lemonade. He insisted, and I threw it away immediately in front of them because like I said I'm not out here trying to grab a freebie or be a Karen. I wanted that to be clear. Another guy came over started going through receipts that had already been punched through this little metal rod - previous orders. He started slamming them back down and he just looked really frustrated. Another woman was making the new drink and looked angry too. I told them I was absolutely fine with paying for the new one. And I did. But it just sucked overall and I wish I hadn't gone there in the first place for a drink. Over $10 to get a small lemonade and kind of just unnecessary frustration. Maybe they all were having a bad day? I certainly didn't want to cause any problems. I'm just kind of disappointed in the whole...

💛 OMG, I absolutely Love Crepes and " "Crepe Escape" have done if the best!

💛 There are "so many options" for Savory, Lunch/Dinner Crepes to Sweet, Dessert Crepes. I always get the "Sweet Crepes." ( just my personal preference for Crepes. ) i always order 2Crepes bc they are so yummy!

💛 My go-to crepe when i want something Fruity & refreshing is the " Fruit Bouquet Crepe" which have "strawberries, bananas, blueberries, raspberries, mangos,pistachios & vanilla custard". The fruit is always fresh and i love this crepe.

💛 When i want a crepe w/ a "richer flavor", I have to have the " Strawberry Matcha Crepe"! Its packed with " strawberries, chocolate truffles, whipped yogurt, pistachios,whipped cream w/ Matcha Custard.

A Sweet Escape That Saved the Evening

After a disappointing dinner at another restaurant, we decided to find a spot just for dessert, and we stumbled upon this gem. From the moment we walked in, we were intrigued by the cozy layout and the warm atmosphere. Service was quick which was a refreshing change.

We decided to try the “Rosey Valentine” crepe, and I have to admit I was a bit hesitant about the rose custard at first. In other places, rose-flavored desserts can taste a bit like medicine. But this crepe was absolutely divine. The custard was fragrant and subtle, the raspberries and lychee added a perfect touch of sweetness, and the crepe itself with the pistachios added this wonderful balance of crunchiness and softness.

What made it even better was that the portion was perfect for sharing. My husband and I split it and both felt really satisfied with the amount. Plus, it was very affordable, which is always a nice bonus. We’ll definitely be coming back...
