That Smoothie Place — Restaurant in Maryland

We were excited to try this place since it had so many good reviews, but it wasn’t for us. We have lots of experience with açaí bowls, we’ve had many before and even make them at home. The bowls we had from here were very sweet, there is added cane sugar in the açaí base, and even though we opted out of the sweetened condensed milk drizzle (that should have been a clue) and swapped it for honey, it was still so sickly sweet for my family we ended up throwing our bowls away around the halfway mark. I’m sure some folks love their bowls sweet, I get it, but if you are on the hunt for a more healthy bowl this isn’t where you will find it. I was also disappointed that the extra toppings I paid for were defrosted frozen fruit and not fresh. Frozen fruit makes perfect sense for smoothies, but it was too mushy and a bit slimy as a fruit topping for a bowl. It would be nice if the owner might consider adding some additional options for those of us who prefer healthier bowls. I stopped by the place recently and got their M.C. Rent and was really impressed. It's hard to find a good raspberry smoothie that tastes like fruit and not sugar. Was hands down the best smoothie I've had. Also got to try their mango and acai bowls.... the fruit tasted so fresh! I generally dont like acai but I'll be going back to get my own next time.

Also saw their seasonal smoothie... looked so decadent may have to get that one too.

Besides the food though, the people were really kind and helpful in choosing from all the options. The service was quick and the place was clean and cute with a little seating on the side.

Small town smoothie shop with a big heart. First time in, and I’m glad my fruit bowl “go to’s” were out, because I tried their new coconut base. My bowl was a “make my own” with Coconut base, Vegan GF granola, bananas, raspberries, hemp seeds and peanut butter. chefs kiss Delicious.
