March 10th, 2020. 7:30 pm. We came here looking for a quick meal after a long day. Walked in and noticed two things, first the waitress at the front didn't greet us or even look to acknowledge we had come in, second there were a few dirty tables, and four other tables still occupied.
We waited, while she chatted with another patron, and the cook turned around and looked at us, he also said nothing, he turned around again and we asked if we could just sit at the counter, or if it mattered. He shrugged, the waitress was still with the other patron so we sat down.
There was a family of four who were walking in as we pulled into the parking lot, they were repeatedly looking at the waitress, and talking amongst themselves, there were no drinks on their table.
The patron the waitress finally left the patron she had been talking to, and began to chat with the cook. They complained about being short staffed while they were so busy....
One table of four in the corner eating, and elderly couple with coffee, but no food. The family of four who had come in before us, my boyfriend and I and a single elderly gentleman, who she had been chatting with when we came in.
So busy...
Apparently another waitress had been there, but left. The remaining waitress and the cook complained rather loudly about it for a while and then she began to give him a food order.
So slow, ridiculously slow, they kept stopping to complain. About where the ham was, about the other employee that had left, about how busy they were.
The waitress finished calling out the order and asked about a plate of bacon that had been sitting there since we had walked in, possibly (and probably) before then, and the cook told her it was for the corner table that was already eating.
She gave them their bacon, and began messing with her tickets, ignoring the table of four that came in before us, and us, sitting less than five feet from her.
During this time we watched the cook burn the bacon he was trying to cook and complain about how he couldn't get his work done. He handled more raw meat, then got plates and bread out for the ticket the waitress had called earlier.
We decided to leave, it had been close to twenty minutes, the waitress still hadn't checked on the family of four or us. The cook wasn't following basic food safety and there were still dirty tables that hadn't been cleaned.

Read moreThe food was great as to be expected. Prices were reasonable. My biggest complaint was with the server. He was outside smoking in the front when we arrived. The parking lot was empty except for one vehicle. He took our order and then when our order was ready, he somehow wasn’t around, and someone else brought the food to our table. One time he kind of mumbled and asked us how everything was or if we were ready for the bill then he laid the bill on the table and then he walked over and stood at the register, waiting on us and watching us. The majority of the evening he was leaning on the counters literally within a foot of our table, and then just hung around our table near that area. We felt like we could hardly visit with each other, because he was so close that he could hear every word. We were the only table he had at the time and he moved away a little bit at one point and leaned on another counter and stood there watching us eat. It did not make me feel comfortable at all. It made me wanna hurry up and eat and get out of there. When we looked at the bill, we thought that it seemed like we should’ve been charged more and I’m sure he missed something, but we asked him if this was everything and he said it was, so we paid what he had written there and left it at that. He walked around like he had absolutely nothing to do and all day to do it with no smile at all. Maybe he was having a bad day, I don’t know, but I really think that the manager should know what kind of workers they have in there, being the face of the company, and making sure that they’re charging the correct amounts. And giving proper customer service in a professional manner. It appeared to me like he was just hanging around for the tip and he didn’t seem to understand what needs to be done to get a good tip either. I wonder if anyone ever educated him. He was definitely old enough to understand how things...
