Mimi`s Pupuseria Y Taqueria — Restaurant in Hagerstown

Went here last week for Mothers Day with my family for the first time and the food was absolutely delicious I wish I could've stumble upon this place sooner. All the staff are extremely nice. We had nachos, quesdallia, pupusas, tamal and burritos. Let me start by telling you the pupusas are made evenly with enough cheese and chicken or loroco. Other places its just filled with masa and tiny piece of cheese but here omg its to die for there soooooo GOOD :) Hummy ordered tongue burrito 🌯 and had enough meat and toppings it was delicious even my two picky eater boys ate the burrito they dislike this type of food espcially if its tongue but they loved it. Went to dine at this establishment for the first time today. Ordered my Meal, the Cashier/Register person was very rude and condescending, I don't often order food from El Salvador and am not well versed in the food. my main reason for the terrible review is the wait i experienced. The order was small and TOGO so I did not expect to wait 50 minutes.... After waiting 30 min i approached the cashier who once again had attitude, than waited another 20 min just to ask for the manager who also upon speaking was rude... And said cant you tell we are busy. Yes i can but when the people who came in 15 min after me are receiving food and I am not, I believe i should be a little irritated yes i was refunded but not I Do not suggest this establishment. I ordered from this establishment tonight due to the reviews; what a disappointment! I ordered (2) chicken and cheese pupusas that barely had chicken in them and tasted like burnt oil mixed with butter, (2) carne asada tacos that was supposed to have cilantro on them and onions; my tacos barley had cilantro and more onions than steak & lastly (3) birria tacos 😕the shredded beef was unseasoned, dry as hell and barely had any cheese; the birria sauce that came with it was horrible, tasted like oil mixed in water with smoke flavor and absolutely no salt or pepper; simply flavorless! I paid $28 for this bland food. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere…seriously Chipotle & Taco Bell are better and I don’t frequent those...
