Saturday night early Sunday morning at 2 a.m. place a phone call to Waffle House for a to-go order. A female answered the phone politely and said thank you for calling Waffle House is it's going to be at to go order and I replied yes I have a to-go order I like to place. She replied back can you please hold for a minute and I said sure and she laid down the phone. I was headed to Greenback coming from Knoxville and I made the phone call around the airbase Road and Alcoa Highway area to give them enough time to fix it. I drove from Airbase road all the way to the New Waffle House on Highway 411. Remind you that I am still put on hold, waiting on someone to pick up phone and take my order. Pulled in the parking lot and there is only three cars in the parking lot. The phone still to my ear I walked inside Waffle House where I was greeted buy two older female waitresses and older female cook. All three females was gathered up in a circle talking when they greeted me when entering the restaurant. They asked if they could help me did I need a table or was placing a to-go order LOL I replied I'm still on hold for someone to take my to-go order so I don't have to wait. The shift leader laughed and said oh yeah I forgot someone was on phone to place order, I replied that was me I have been holding the phone for 19 minutes and 47 seconds. I placed a to-go order of a grilled chicken sandwich with cheese scattered hash browns scattered covered smothered and peppered and A order of one scrambled egg with cheese To go. They fixed my food and I left went home to eat. Got home realized my scrambled egg was playing no cheese that made me mad. My hash browns were burnt also missing a ingredient that I ordered which was Jalapenos in my hash browns. So two out of three things so far wrong, picked up the chicken sandwich to spread some mustard on it and they did not put any lettuce tomato pickle or cheese on my sandwich nothing but small piece of chicken two pieces of dry bread. Really made me mad. Called back up to Waffle House told the lady what happened and who I was, and all she said or did was laugh. And said sorry but next time when you're in here fill out a complaint on the suggestion cards and drop it in the Box. I asked if I could bring it back up there or have them to recook me another order and make it right she said with only if I paid for it again because they are not allowed to receive food that's been out the door. And the total was $19.84 that I wasted and end up feeding to my dog. Would not recommend...
Read moreWent in this evening, 05/01/2023 and put in a somewhat large t-go order at 6:11 PM (I had the lime green Oatley shirt on. I'm saying this because I want everyone involved to remember back and know how great they are). This Waffle House has always been great in my opinion but this evening left a lasting impression on me. The 2 gentlemen and 1 lady working provided exceptional service and hospitality to everyone that was in the restaurant when I was there. They were friendly, talkative, and checked in on me while I was waiting on my order, even the gentleman who was busy preparing meals. They gave me updates on things as they were being done and showed my my ordered as it was packaged up so I would know where things were. They made me feel like I mattered as a customer and they seemed to really care about their job and the place they work at. You don't hardly experience that anymore. I have been going through a lot lately in life (too much to list here) but the 3 Waffle House employees I encountered this evening really made a positive impact on me and gave me hope for humanity. I'm sure they are probably not compensated as well as they should be, and sadly that is the nature of this type of work (I did it for many years) but they sincerely try and I greatly appreciate that. I'm sorry I didn't get their names but if you were working at this location this evening, you know who you are and may you be blessed for what you do. The working people move this country forward and the 3 working at the 411 Waffle House this evening have earned my respect...
Read moreWe went to the Waffle House in Maryville on US 411 between soccer games because of their usually quick and courteous service. When we arrived there was a party of 2 waiting to be seated in front of us so we thought no big deal. Two tables cleared about 10 minutes after we arrived and both the party of 2 and my family of 5 were seated at the same time. Our waitress comes to our table, puts menus and silverware down and says I’ll be back with you as soon as I can. She then goes to the party of 2 and gets their drink order and drinks, walks by us without a look. The waitress then walked by us again, and again without a look and takes the party of 2 food order. You guessed it, walked back by us to put said food order in and doesn’t come back. We had been sitting there waiting for even a drink order for around 10-15 minutes. I told my wife if she walks by us again, we were leaving. Well, she walked by us again to give the party of 2 their food(still hasn’t even gotten our drink order). The waitress turned around and I stuck my hand up and said we are ready to order. I promptly got a reply that I’ll be with you when I can. I told the family to get up and we will find somewhere else to eat. As we were walking out, one of the other waitresses said have a nice day, our waitress then said and don’t come back. I was not able to get the waitress’s name who was so rude. I’ll just say, until they get rid of her, expect...
