11-17-18: I visited again on 11-10. I tried the rib eye sandwich with sweet potato fries (an up-charge) and a piece of blackberry custard pie. As usual, the food was yummy! I think the sweet potato fries could be listed as a dessert, because the dipping sauce pairs wonderfully with the fries!
(2017) We (my family and I) are frequent customers and really enjoy the food. Our most recent visit was the Wednesday afternoon at lunch (the day before Thanksgiving). Skooter's was very busy, but the employees never acted like they were stressed out. Our food did take a while to complete (which I understood), but our server kept checking on us and kept us updated on our order. I wish I could remember her name, because she was the most pleasant and best server we ever had! Our order was perfect and tasted wonderful: Mom had chili; Dad and I had a bacon cheeseburger. I opted to have sweet potato fries, which really could have been a dessert with the yummy dipping sauce that came with them. My fries and my dad's fries were hot when we got our order; that means none of the orders sat before coming to our table. I don't know how they did it, but the cooks timed...
Read moreOur waitress Amy was also the bartender. She did not write down our orders & had to come to reask what we wanted to drink & I got a regular coke instead of a diet coke. She never came back & asked if we needed anything or ro refill our drinks just put our bill on the table & walked away. We finally got her attention & told her we wanted 1 piece of banana cr pie & 1 coconut cream to go. She put the order in as 2 coconut cr. She brought them to the table in a bag & when we looked at them in car we realized they were both coconut cr. We took them back in & couldn't get her attention cause she was too busy dancing behind the bar. My friend & I have had problems with this waitress before. She does a lousy job!!!...
Read moreThe guy sitting next to me had the ribeye and said it was incredible. I guess I should have ordered the ribeye as well, because the seasoning on the catfish was so salty you could barely taste the fish. The fried okra was good. The baked potato was still pretty hard and could have been cooked longer. The wings were alright but they put so much sauce on the wings that it was a little too much. They do offer a ton of variety on the menu and I’m sure they have plenty of good things. I wouldn’t mind stopping here again to try something different or at...
