We had a reservation for 6:15 this past Friday. We arrived on time, waited a few minutes and were seated. We brought 3 friends who had never been there before and we had hyped them up the whole 50 minute drive, telling them how good everything is. We waited around 15 to 20 minutes before the server came to our table and told us he was sorry for the wait, there were shenanigans and drama going on but he would be with us soon. We should have left right then but being out for a girls night, we were OK to chat while we waited. Finally we placed our order. We knew exactly what we wanted so we ordered appetizers, meals and drinks at the same time. Each appetizer came out separately, as we finished one, the next one arrived. We had to ask for the last 2 and for our drinks. It did not appear to be that busy so we were perplexed with the turtle slow service to which we were told that they were taking care of the carry out orders. Our server knew we were on our way to Detroit for a comedy show so he asked how much time we had because it wasn't looking good for our food. We asked if he could ask the cooks when the food would be ready and he said they would just lie. People were walking out as we were not the only table waiting forever for our food. After waiting 2 hours I asked why the manager wasn't making rounds, apologizing and explaining what was going on. He said she just shrugged her shoulders about the entire situation. We paid for our drinks and appetizers (thank God we each ordered an appetizer to share or we would have been starving) and left very disappointed. Our friends were very bummed because they really liked the appetizers (other than the long hair in mine that I didn't disclose to them) and really wanted to try the entrees. Not to mention we sat thru the show hungry! By the time it was over there wasn't much to choose from so we went straight home, still hungry. I can't express enough how very, very disappointed we were and hope that the owner sees this because he needs to get a new manager in there asap before the place is carry out only! We heard many people say they would never be back and we agree. We love PF Changs but not the Fallen...
Read moreFirst let me be clear. This is not a reflection on the wait staff. They are awesome. Steven is our favorite! This is about the food and how the quality for the cost has simply gone down hill.
We have been going to PFC for years! Husband and I could eat great food for $45 with tip and be happy. NOT ANY MORE!
We have had nothing but bad experiences for our last 3 visits. With everything from RAW chicken to tasteless food not prepared correctly.
This past visit on 09-15-2024 was just awful!!! My husband and I brought my sister from Canada for a nice dinner. Well it was not a nice dinner at all! The cook that night, (who use to be a waiter) was late! So everything was backing up!
It took 30 minutes to get our soup and I asked that it came before our meal. (it did - 2 minutes before our meal). LOL grrrrrrr.
I asked for dressing on the side for my salad. It did come with dressing on the side - but they also covered my salad with dressing. My chicken was supposed to be warm. It was ice cold and not cooked. I had to send it back. They cut it up and put it in the wok and threw it back on the salad.
My sisters salad was supposed to have chicken. It did not. When asked how her salad was - she replied MALL food is better!
My husband ordered fried rice (shrimp and chicken). THEY FORGOT THE SOY SAUCE they cook it in! and the chicken and shrimp were dryer than a pop-corn-fart!
I was so embarrassed as my sisters wanted to pay for the dinner as a treat for hosting her at our home for the weekend. With tip it was $95. I would gladly pay $95 if the food was good! But this was soooo bad!!
I remember about a year ago - they had a head chef come in from a State out west to teach the cooks how to prepare the food correctly. I knew something was different because our food was amazing! I asked the manager if there was a new cook and she explained that they had this head chef in to teach the cooks correctly. WELL APPARENTLY THEY RETAINED NOTHING! LOL
Sorry PFC - I am done with you and your over priced rice! I will...
Read moreI've had plenty of good experiences but this one was bad enough to share. We stopped in for a birthday dinner before planning to see a movie with our kids. 45 minutes after we placed our order the server brought the kids over more drinks and said our food was taking longer because the ribs take a while to cook. 15 minutes after that she came over and apologized for the "mix up" but we didn't know what that was. She asked if the manager talked to us yet. No, we said. A few minutes later he came over and said the order didn't get put in but would be out soon. Nothing more was said and he promptly left.
The server then said she would bring the kids free ice cream for the hassle. But the kids meals already included ice cream so that made no sense. We missed our movie since the meal took 2 hours in total. The kids were getting restless as well which I'm sure other guests weren't pleased with.
Then a couple with an overwhelming smell of pot/weed was seated right next to us. It was pungent and our kids our very young. While this is a casualty of dining out in public I don't know why they didn't think to sit him away from our little ones. It's also not a smell you want while trying to enjoy a meal.
Having worked at a restaurant when I was a teenager and having friends wait tables during college, I thought maybe they'd offer a comp or coupon for the inconvenience.
At the very least the server was trying to mask the problem, told us the ribs were the delay (they were the first to come out, the rest of the food arrived 10 minutes later). Rather than the server owning up to making a mistake she deflected it to the manager. We still left a tip but 15% instead of 20%.
One of the key aspects of dining out is the dining experience. This was not a...
