Bakin Bagels Inc — Restaurant in Maywood

✓I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT I WAS COMPELLED on 3/16/2024 around 9:20am. I called Bakin Bagels to place an order. When I arrived, I paid for my order and came back to my car to eat. I noticed both breakfast sandwiches were incorrect. I proceeded to go back to the bagel place to respectfully express my concern about my food that was prepared incorrectly. As I addressed my concern about my order, the female worker turned and spoke to me in a rude and offensive manner. She chose to look upside the wall with no eye contact. In a NASTY TONE, she stated she repeated the order, and this is what I ordered. As I observed her frustration in her face and body language, I maintained a positive demeanor and asked her, What can be done?" She stated, “I can make another sandwich or return my money.” I said, “Yes, I would like my money back". ✓ There was a pleasant gentleman at the register who processed my refund back to my card, and I told him thank you and have a nice day. As I was exiting the establishment, this young iriate, tall man with tattoos and piercing behind the counter says to me, “OK, NOW YOU CAN GET OUT"! I did not respond to his ignorant outburst for fear of stooping to his infantile and unprofessional level. As an adult, I realize our youth need jobs and experiences to mold how to handle various situations with a tone of respect and professionalism for future positons. I have made several referrals to friends and family to order from Bakin Bagels. However, after being told to leave shows me that my business nor my family and friends are not wanted as well. As a frequent customer, I was always treated with respect. The lady that normally takes my order was not there that day, and I will sorely miss her kind and friendly face in the mornings. Customer service doesn't cost anything but a friendly greeting, especially if I am paying my money. So, this being said, I will Never return to...

The bagels are delicious and have no complaint. However a few employees are unorganized and do things in a hassle. The place can be packed and I understand it’s stressful. There’s this lady who always has red lipstick and she’s the worst of few that are bad. She asks for you order and then you name one thing and she takes off without asking anything else and WRITING IT DOWN. There’s no problem writing it down and I like when the others write my order down. She does things in a hassle and then when she repeats what you ordered she’s usually wrong. That or she messes up your bagel or accidentally gives it to someone else say when it’s busy most likely. Unacceptable from...

People working there are efficient and make great breakfast. Bagels are 8 out of 10. Not the best but not the worst and I prefer it over Passaic St bagels. Try the cinnamon raisin with Lox spread. Coffee is tasty and made good. Prices are ok .

People complaining about service, it’s a bagel shop in North Jersey, not a spa, what do you want from them to read your horoscope? Order, wait off to the side for few minutes, pay, tip if you’re generous and leave. Nothing much to it. Bacon Egg and Cheese on everything...
