El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Maywood

Two days ago, I went in around 8pm and ordered 12 pcs of chicken and one large side order of mashed potato. The girl taking my order was having a hard time getting my order right. I waited for my order for about 5 minutes, the young girl who took my order was talking to the cooker behind the counter and they were both starring at me. I knew something was not right. The she calls me to say that they didn’t have enough chicken to complete my 12 pcs order, I was like they charged me 30 dollars and not enough chicken😂, then she was offering other things from the menu. Manager comes over because I wanted a refund. Refund was given to me , but the manager there has no customer service, she seem’s like she hates her job. She didn’t even said thank you, I was the one who said it. That location besides the nasty customer service they have , the place it’s so dirty, you can see the kitchen floor dirty, mobs all dirty like they never been wash. Never again with the...

I have to say, usually you go to one El Pollo Loco and you've seen them all, right? Well not in this case. I came to this restaurant looking for a quick bite while I waited for a tow truck. I ordered 2 tacos el carbon and 2 burritos with 2 drinks. Before Maria (the cashier) charged me, she told me that if I ordered 3 tacos, i'd save money AND one of the drinks would be free. So she saved me at least 3 bucks. It was refreshing to have service instead of just a "money taker" working as a cashier. Maria not only saved me money, she also was positive, and friendly. The food was the same quality that all restaurants of this chain offer. Having said that, (and it may not seem like much) Maria really stood out as an employee that goes the extra mile to make the patrons experience way better than the average "I'm just here for a paycheck" attitude....

My experience here was just not pleasant as they just didn’t seem prepared to begin with. I came in for a nice loco lunch box for my lunch break and I go in and there’s already a line which wasn’t too bad until I realized there was short staff. Everything was just unorganized with there being one worker for cashier and finalizing orders. I go up to order and I was already told there were only black beans so I had to change my lunch option and ended up with the salad so then I get the salad and they had no lime cilantro sauce either so I couldn’t even enjoy that. Then I started to eat the salad and noticed some chicken pieces burned and the avocado barely ripe so it wasn’t even the soft taste as usual.
