Maywood Inn — Hotel in Maywood

Horrible experience. Don’t waste your time and money staying at this hotel. Although the front desk employees are polite and respectful, the management is lacking in many aspects. I had booked a stay for 5 nights and paid upon arrival. I ended up having to check out early because their wifi wouldn’t work in my room and they couldn’t fix it. I was told my money would be refunded in full and that they would do a separate transaction to only charge me for the nights I stayed. They ended up charging me for my original booking PLUS the nights I stayed. When I called to explain this, they argued with me and told me their bank had refunded me “the difference” -which is not even what they promised to refund. I have had 30+ phone calls with this hotel trying to get my refund. They requested a bank statement from me, which I was happy to provide. Still no response from them, very poor communication. Now 2 months later, I am still arguing with management to try and get my refund. They have come up with every excuse in the book as to why they can’t refund me my money. They continually promised to call me back with updates, which they failed to do. Seems that they do not value customer satisfaction and are incapable of keeping...

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! This was the most horrible experience ever. We were so disappointed as soon as we walked in but decided to stay to give it a try but oh boy were we e wrong?! The room as outdated and looked dirty. The bathroom did not look clean either. There were no shower doors and they only put two pillows in a queen bed and if you needed more you had to go get them yourself at the “housekeeping ofc” on the second floor. The towels were very old and looked grayish. We asked the housekeeper in the morning not to clean our room and she understood and said she wouldn’t clean it but when we came back at night we found that they still had came into the room and had left the curtain AND window open plus they had turned off A/C!!!!!!!When we called the front desk they couldn’t explain why it was like that and offered no help. Needless to say, we couldn’t sleep that whole night thinking what could’ve happened if we had stayed in the first floor and someone had walked right into the room through the window and couldn’t even imagine how hot the room could’ve gotten with the window opened had it been summertime.We left the next day at 6:00am. Honestly this was one of the best Inns I’ve ever stayed in especially in this area at such an affordable price! Everyone knows SoCal is very expensive and well, accommodations hardly ever match the price point but this hotel delivers quality at an affordable price! I wasn’t expecting “luxury or high end” whatsoever but I honestly wasn’t expecting the room to be sooo clean, spacious, quiet and as serene as it was! Taking a nice hot shower in a spacious stand in shower was my favorite! I stayed in the King Superior Suite by myself for just 1 night on a Saturday night (the noise pollution wasn’t bad either) and I honestly wanted to stay longer hahaha The staff esp the front desk was very respectful, kind and they respected my privacy which is always a plus for me haha And the coffee was delicious!
