I have been waiting for this place to open. Since two of my favorite Chinese restaurants have closed and I was looking to see when this place would open and it finally did. I ordered the beef and broccoli with white rice and I also ordered shrimp fried rice. This one is made to order also ordered egg rolls. Everything came out good and hot and ready, it was a little time to wait for the shrimp fried rice because it’s made to order but everything was good and I’m very happy that this place is open now because like I said two of my favorite Chinese restaurants have since closed and now this is going to be my favorite spot to stop at. If you’re looking for hot food and basic menu, this is the place to go. I would suggest to go online and look at the different options as far as a bowl, a plate and a platter because I was kind of confused and the girl that was helping me through the drive-through didn’t really explain it well so I would suggest to look at the menu before hand so that way you could have a idea of what to order. I do recommend stopping by this place and trying it out. My experience was good. Update* my husband and daughter have tried this place and they agree, very good food and fresh. They love the dumplings with that sauce that comes with it, it’s spicy and they both like spicy stuff if you like spicy stuff I highly recommend the sauce. It’s really good. They say it is, I’m not into spicy, but they are. I tried the mushroom chicken and green bean plate and I also tried the honey shrimp and they both are extremely good. My husband tried spicy dishes one was chicken and one was steak and he said it was very good. Like I said this will be my go to place for Chinese. I like the options are simple and the food is fresh and they also have a sign through the drive-through that I read about a plate for five bucks after 9 PM or until it’s sold out so I haven’t tried that or I haven’t asked about that but that’s pretty good because They don’t wanna throw away food, I’m assuming they want to sell plates for five bucks at that time before closing. I think I am obsessed with this place now and I think I’m gonna have to go every week to get a plate of the deliciousness.update, 8/21/24. I ordered the dumplings and they usually come with this spicy sauce and I didn’t receive it today with my order in the past I have so I called and the lady said that they don’t include it with the dumplings and that the person who took my order should have offered sauces, but in the future, I would need to ask for that sauce. I’m glad I know now, because those dumplings and that sauce go together so well other than that the food is great . So if you order dumplings, be sure to ask for the...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience here not only was the food cold and hard already. The establishment was empty and the minute I got there I was feeling rushed. I still took my time to order, I asked her if she could please put everything in to go boxes as I already know, we do not finish all of our food. I asked if they had complementary water since we don’t drink soda and they said no that the water machine was broken which is fine. We had our water bottles. We sat down and ate, The establishment is still empty. We didn’t notice that they had free fruit. until we were done and we got some free fruit as we were customers that did dine in JUAN decided to take it upon himself to Tell my daughter she was not allowed to get any of the tooth pics size watermelon slices, even though we were customers that did dine I went back inside and asked him. Hey why did you do that? and he proceeded to act unprofessional and explain how it’s for dine in and I let him know. There is no sign an we did dine in. We did spend our money in this establishment. I took a picture of the watermelon. It’s not like it was huge sizes and he proceeds to pose with a peace sign in front of a customer he has in front of him. Can you be any more unprofessional what happened to good service? What happened to wanting to bring customers back into an establishment if it takes tooth pick size watermelon, you know what future consumer take two take three for your children that are going to actually eat it , I used to love going to the house of China. That’s why we gave this place a chance we have so many good memories with the house of China. I will never step foot in that establishment, the way Juan handled the situation was completely uncalled for and it left a very bitter taste in my mouth. It made me want to get a refund back. It was a big wasted my time and an money most importantly it was embarrassing for my children and I to be treated like that. over...
Read moreY’all need to stop! This is fast food. Think food court at the mall. Most items on menu board are readily available, but not all.
Choose between a bowl or plate. Great portions, so I’d recommend asking for it to go container but eating on site if that was the intention. Less waste if you plan on leftovers because the portions are generous enough.
General Tsao chicken was excellent! Fresh and not hard/tough. Orange chicken was great. Teriyaki was a bit too salty. Chicken with mushrooms and green beans was very MSG tender and lacked flavor. The lo-mein noodles were a huge disappointment. Tasted fishy (from shrimp being cooked in some dishes?) and was almost dry. Not old. Just a bad execution or recipe. Liked the fried dumplings and vegetarian roll. They offer steamed rice or fried rice (or a combo these three “sides.” Complimentary sauces.
Self-serve soup (bowls only for those who order on) and two other sauces as well as fried wontons (that tasted fishy.)
Self-bus (pick up after yourself) though staff was diligent about cleaning tables.
I’ll try again, probably via drive-through. Parking limited in front but plentiful in rear of building.
Warning on drinking cups: super flimsy! Feel like they’ll fall apart (like all alone or if you squeeze them.) Free refills on fountain drinks.
Higher rating for better lo-mein, less fishy taste on random food, and better supplies: no iced tea or chopsticks. I’m being picky, but I’ll give them another try.
They’re better and worse than Panda Express. Less expensive, though, I believe.
