Couldnât decide on lunch so we decided to try something new. We eat a lot of Asian cuisine but one we donât have much of is Vietnamese food. Enter Little Viet Kitchen. This place lives up to its name itâs very small but man does it pack in huge flavor.
We ordered the drunken beef bahn mi, shrimp spring rolls and beef pho. The bahn mi was incredibly good. The pickled veggies, the fresh herbs and the savory beef that soaked up the white onion flavor against the briny pickled veggies and the spicy sauce with the jalapenos was out of this world.
The spring rolls were very fresh and the greens and veggies were snappy and crunchy. The shrimp was nice and the sauce had a unique flavor that mixed well.
The beef pho was so good, the broth was savory yet light. The noodles had a nice chew to them, the basil and scallion were fantastic and the beef was just tender and perfect.
The lemonade was so tasty and thr lemonade / black tea arnold palmer was even better.
We got to talk to Kelly and she told us that itâs recipes and food her parents made growing up in Vietnam, and it really shines through, the care and love of the food is there. If youâre north of the city please give this place a visit. Iâll be thinking about that sandwich for the...
Read moreFantastic Bahn Mi. Takes me back to some of the places we used to frequent in DC. The bread was fresh with a slight crunch. The veggies were fantastic and added to the flavor of the sandwich. But the best part was the meat. I had the pork and it was perfectly cooked with a wonderful maple sweetness. The cucumbers were a fantastic side with a lovely salty-savory flavor. Top it off with an iced vietnamese coffee and i have no complaints about the food, the price, or the setting. I only wish they were open just a bit later. 7 pm comes too early in the evening for us. We cannot wait to try their pho, rice bowls, and vermicelli plates. An absolute lovely addition to...
Read moreThis little spot has been on my list to visit for a long time and now Iâm thinking about all of the time Iâve wasted not enjoying their food.
I got a pork banh mi and the steak rice bowl, the passion fruit tea with passion fruit popping boba and a thai tea with regular boba. The drinks were amazing. The banh mi was delicious and flavorful, as was the rice bowl. Every good thing youâve heard about this restaurant is true.
For picky eaters, the only thing I would tell you is that, like a lot of Thai food, the food is cooked with fish sauce, so make sure you have the expectation that you will taste a little of...
