Regarding a mismanagement of mother's Day Rush.. I have eaten at brunch Cafe dozens of times and would normally leave a good review, but today's mismanagement of the mother's Day rush is astonishing. We arrived with plenty of time to spare and we sat patiently for over an hour as we knew today was going to be busy. When I received the text message that my table was ready, I told my crew that the table was ready and to move move! When my wife arrived one minute after the text arrived to the hostess, she said that they gave our table away. Of course this is upsetting because I don't know what the current policy is behind. Giving a table away but less than 60 seconds seems a bit quick. The hostess assured us that we would be the next table to be seated because of the misunderstanding. We watched table after table after table gets seated while we sat and waited. Clearly we were not set as a priority but put to the back of the line. Right now we are sitting outside waiting over two full hours for a table at this place. It is mother's Day so this is truly testing my patients but this is Ludacris. I don't know who is running the show at this particular Branch but they definitely need a tuning up. And because it's mother's Day, I'm not going to do that. But I am going to leave a very disgruntled review. I would leave a zero star if I could today. I haven't even eaten yet and I'm giving it a...
Read moreNormally our go- to is Southern Belles in Barrington because they have amazing skillets but we decided to try something different. We were a bit disappointed in the variety of skillets and the ingredients in them that they offered, but that's just because southern Belles skillets are unmatched. We ordered the meat and potato skillet which comes with ham, bacon, sausage, and cheddar cheese. The skillet was over salted but overall it was a decent skillet. It was a bit of a small portion. It comes with a side of pancakes or toast which you can upgrade to any specialty pancakes, French toast, or crepe. The patty melt was just average. Nothing special. A bit dry, and my boyfriend didn't like how it came on sourdough bread. The stuffed waffle was my favorite item. The waffle was so crispy and the filling was nice and sweet. There were bananas and strawberries inside and it was topped with whipped cream. It is a bit sweet, but if that's what you're craving then it's perfect for you! We also got a side of the cinnamon roll French toast which I expected to be crispy but it was soft and almost soggy. The flavor was good though, especially with the cream cheese icing. Overall, the service was good and food was pretty good. They have a lot of good options, but if you're looking for a good skillet I would say this...
Read moreI’ve dined at Brunch Café several times now, and it’s become one of my go-to spots for a relaxed and satisfying breakfast. The booth seating is a standout — cozy two-seaters are perfect for a casual brunch date, while the larger booths easily accommodate families or groups. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with just the right mix of comfort and charm.
My usual order is the eggs Benedict, and I always sub in tomato for the Canadian bacon. It’s a simple swap, but it adds a fresh touch that pairs nicely with their hollandaise. Everything is served hot, plated neatly, and consistently delicious.
The coffee is decent, though I do wish they offered real cream instead of the standard packaged kind. And if they ever decided to serve homemade jelly with their toast, it would be a total game changer — little touches like that could really elevate the whole experience and set them apart from other brunch spots.
Service is always pleasant and efficient. The waitresses are consistently friendly, attentive without hovering, and they help keep the experience smooth even on busier mornings.
Overall, Brunch Café is a solid local favorite. A few small upgrades could make it exceptional, but it’s already doing a lot right — and I’ll definitely keep...
