Upon arriving at the drive through order speaker/receiver the clerk greeted me kindly - I proceeded to place my order; 1 Hamburger with ONLY Ketchup, Mustard, Onion, and Pickle, with a side of Fries, Chicken Tenders, BBQ Sauce x 2, 1 Mountain Dew beverage, along with a Butter Burger Basket with everything on that burger including cheese. I proceeded to the window to pay, I was handed a bag and told, "There you go that is your order." As always, I opened my bag to ensure quality check and make sure I got what I asked for - immediately I realized no fries had been included in the bag whatsoever, and the hamburger that did not call for cheese had cheese slapped on it.
I patiently awaited the clerk to return to the window and explained, she scoffed and acted as if this was a huge inconvenience. Missed the fact that the burger was incorrect, 3 minutes later she returned to the window with fries. At which point I explained the burger situation. She went back in to correct the order, 5 minutes later COLIN the so-called "Store Manager", comes to the window and asks what was wrong with the order, I explain yet again, he then says, "Well you can keep the cheeseburger, here is your regular burger - (proceeds to hand me the burger) - (raising his tone with me he then adds) - For future reference, we cannot hear you all too well on the microphone so you might want to speak up a little bit next time. Here."
I was absolutely shocked and taken aback by his very aggressive tone and complete disregard for the fact that I am a paying and frequent customer of this establishment. His insinuation was all the more ridiculous - given I had had to repeat myself multiple times when placing the order, to begin with being extremely patient with the female clerk who took the order, because believe it or not I understand that the speakers probably cause for interference. Regardless, I am appalled that someone with such horrendous people skills would speak to a customer that way. For the record I was absolutely understanding given the store seemed busy so for Colin to behave this way is utterly unacceptable. Placing blame on the customer when the order A. Was not even right, to begin with, B. Had missing items which were charged and paid for, to begin with. This young man certainly could use a day or two in a customer service course and a reality check.
I certainly WILL NOT be returning to this establishment and would be weary of ever advising family, friends, or visitors in the McHenry area to that location thanks to the delightful...
Read moreI will not be going to this Culver’s anymore! I used to go here twice a week with my dogs after our class for dinner and pup cups. For the last 6wks or so they changed the way they do things and it is soo frustrating and aggravating! Now you can’t order at the menu/speaker. You have to pull up past it and talk to kids with a tablet so you better know what you want cuz you won’t have a menu to look at anymore. Then since I’m a mil vet I have to pull up to the window after dealing with the tablet people to get my discount. Their sizes for the concretes has changed to even smaller but the prices remain the same! Last night I got a pup cup for my 98lb Doberman which usually comes in a good size cup but last night I got it in a ketchup size cup. What a joke this place has become! Oh and they want you to pull up and park into these spots while you wait for your food but they are such a pain to get out of with employees walking around and cars driving past. I wish this place would go back to how things used to be! Like I said I used to come here twice a week and I’m soo aggravated with this location that I will no longer be...
Read moreOnce again this Culver's fails me. This is the 4th time they've messed up my order. Everytime I order a Single cheddar butter burger with bacon with grilled onions and ketchup basket with cheese curds instead of fries with ranch and a root beer to drink. I checked the receipt to make sure it was right and it was so I didn't check the actual burger. I guess that's where I went wrong. So I get home and bite into my burger and...no bacon 🥓! I was not happy as at this McHenry Culver's has done this 3 other times. So I called the store and immediately asked to speak with the Manager. I got the manager and he was very apologetic and flat out admitted this was a problem in their kitchen that they were currently working on. So evidently this happens quite frequently. This is sad because they're losing my business. Collin the manager was helpful and gave me a code for a free burger and dessert. Besides that fiasco the food was delicious as always. But the reason for 2 stars is the repetitive order screw ups. I hope they figure their problem...
