McHenry Recreation Bowl — Local services in McHenry

This place rocks. For old school good time bowling. Lanes are always well maintained. The only downside is the hours. If they are slow they close early. I'd....along with those of us that bowl here would rate it 5 star plus. But the staff is less than friendly....in fact that almost does it an injustice to the neglect to customer service this establishment provides.

The last offense allowed us the opportunity to venture down to palace bowl. We were greeted with a warm smile, happy to be here and in fact even cupcakes. If your looking for lousy service, a shity, grumpy additutude and overall demenr than the rec is your place.

Bottom line, first time I've ever been refused service in my life. Venture to palace for a good time. It's only a few miles away and well...

Helpful service and family environment. I am almost 50 and this is the way I remember bowling. The games are only $3.50. Extremely reasonable and a price to get back into the game. Although it might not have the bells and whistles of the big alleys you won't have to pay for them either. Virginia is a very nice host and my father and I look forward to seeing her ever week.
