I read the reviews before going and after doing so I felt I should give it a chance. Bring that I've been living in Arizona for the past 13 years I was really excited to try this place....what a disappointment! First the young lady that took our order was very unwelcoming and we almost changed our minds about eating there. The women in the back were VERY polite so it kinda made up for it. I got the wings with green, mac yams, potato salad and linguine salad. My man got the salmon hoagie and baked beans and my sister got the whiting and cabbage so basically we tried most of what was on the menu. I also had banana pudding which I can say was bussin! The wings were ok, definitely edible, the mac didn't taste like it had enough cheese and it had a tart vinegar taste to it. The greens had good flavor but were gritty very deappitizing. The yams were ok and the baked beans were ok as well. My sister said the fish was bomb but she didn't eat the cabbage much. The salmon hoagie had more peppers and onions then salmon and they were the basis of the flavor, it was also very greasy. After spending $90 I wouldn't go back but my hubby said he would definitely go back...
Read moreHere’s my honest review on the stuff I bought. I ordered the lamb chops with double Mac & Cheese & a seafood egg roll with the potato salad. The lamb chops was definitely good I’ll give them a solid 8/10, it was the sauce they was in I wasn’t really feeling it but they still was good. The Mac wasn’t the worst I had in the city it was still edible but it almost had a plane taste 5/10. The Seafood Egg Rolls definitely a solid 8.7/10 the only complaint is that it’s $12 for one egg roll so if you want multiple, it can get costly especially if you are ordering through DoorDash! Now the Potato Salad it’s a no for me definitely a 0/10 the first bite I was like no, if you want good Potato Salad that hit the soul I would say Carmi Soul Food. Still haven’t found a restaurant in the Pittsburgh area who can do great Mac & Cheese. Side Note: I did go to the Mac & Cheese Fest and one business stood out was T’s concessions I think black owned but they said they’re located in Ohio. That Smoke Gouda they had was top notch! Extremely good that I’m willing to travel for some...
