Chinese Kitchen Restaurant — Restaurant in McKenzie

Where to begin? This place used to be a decent place for Chinese buffet, but after coming for the first time in few years, I feel the need to warn people of how much the quality and options have fallen off. My first instinct after walking in and seeing most of the lights off and only 1/3 of the buffet tables in use at 6pm on a Saturday was to walk back out, but decided to try it one more time since I was told it was only $9.

They no longer have a soda fountain or tea, and the only beverage options were bottled water or cans of soda. One small buffet table had fried rice (which was lacking any form of vegetable or seasoning) and lo mein noodles which seemed to be flavored only with soy sauce. The sauces had changed for the worse, the meats had alot of weird bites, and the food had a general foul odor. The egg rolls tasted like dishwater, sweet and sour chicken was hard like it had been sitting there since lunch, the pepper steak had no peppers in it, the general tso sauce was gummy and looked to be full of red food coloring. I started to feel sick after a few bites and left after one small plate. There were also no desserts, not even a fortune cookie with your bill.

This place is just sad now, do not waste your time or money. I'd recommend McDonald's next door...

Ok so I ordered four meals. Three meals with two entries and one with one entry. My husband found a bug with wings be in his food that he had already mixed and stared to eat. When he found the bug he stopped eating. I had not even stared to eat my food. My kids had already ate. I took my food and the rest of my husband's food back to the place and showed them the bug that was in my husband's food. They asked me if it could have come from my house because they do not have bugs in their restarunt. Come on now, while talking to them there was a fly in the doorway and they stood with the door open to the inside so fly can easily fly in to the place as well as they could get through small cracks in doors. I spent almost $40 today and they only gave me $10 back. I was always a little worried about eatting there after the first time eating there because some of the food had me in the bathroom before I even finished eatting. Now we will never eat there again. I will travel to Paris to eat if I have too. Lost customers today. If I could give no stars I woukd. 👎...

Save your money it was $20 for My daughter and I, we went at dinner so there is no reason for the food to be old an cold! The price be fine if the food was worth it! Some most of the food was so old an crispy the noodles where made as if someone accidentally dropped a hole bottle of oil on them and no flavor at all! It wasn't that clean at the strawberry ice cream was even old. I use be a server and I try be very fair an understanding but it was impossible we got are drinks an that was it was never checked on for refills, I had get up an ask the man upfront for napkins, we didn't see her again until she brought the bill apparently they don't bring fortune cookies anymore I had to ask for them at the front and si did the other table behind us. Panda Express is better than this, I would rather drive to Jackson and eat at the buffet there than to ever go back again. I so disappointed because this use to be a pretty good place with good prices but they have just gotten lazy...
