Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in McKinney

This review is only for 11/21/2022 at 4550 ELDORADO PKWY MCKINNEY, TX 75070. Normally this location does an OK job with getting pizza out quickly for either deliver or carryout but this evening was just a disaster. Hard to know where to start on this one. My order was a carry out order and when the Pizza Tracker let me know it was ready, I went to pick up my order at the drive up window as I normally do. Sat there, got looks from employees but ZERO acknowledgement I was waiting at the window. Finally, an older woman came to the window to ask the name on the order. She looked, then grabbed a bag and went out the side door, got in her car and left for a delivery. WOW! So I am sitting for longer with no acknowledgement. I tap my horn, no response or even a glance in my direction. Frustrated, I pull forward, park, and walk into the customer lobby. 2 other customers are ahead of me. After a little while one of the associates came to the front desk to tell a customer his order was messed up and would have to be re-made. I can see the pizza oven from the lobby and there were a few clearly burnt pizzas on the lower rack so this is not looking good for a Monday night pizza! I have to speak up to get someone's attention and effectively stated that clearly customer service was not their thing tonight and they needed to just cancel my order.

My biggest observation was that not a single employee greeted customs or acknowledged their presence. A younger female associate making pizza seemed to hate her job and was nearly looking at the customers in disgust as if we were inconveniencing her (body language is often much louder than words). This is simple, if you cannot offer service with a smile, acknowledge your customers, and be helpful, then please, find another job that you will enjoy. I get that every one has a bad day but the entire night shift team? Seemed like there was no supervision, or competent supervision this evening.

Why the public review? Well I had full intention of just using the "How did we do" section on the Pizza Tracker page, but ironically it tells me I cannot leave a review until after my order is picked up. LOL ... there must be something in the air tonight.

Rather than Monday night pizza after a long day at work, It ended up being Whataburger and a stomach...

The pizza that was delivered was wrong. I said no mushrooms and it had mushrooms, had olives and olives were not an option for the deluxe and also didn’t have pepperoni on it. Called the store and they said they’ll send out a new one. 45 minutes later I had to call back and was told by a very rude employee that the guy I talked to was new and there’s nothing they could do about it. Then proceeded to call me a liar because she actually make the pizza herself and told me to bring it to the store and prove it to her. Asked to speak to the manager and he made it right and sent out the correct pizza. I only gave 2 stars because the manager fixed it. As a manger myself, I would have wrote one of my employees up if they talked to a customer the way she did. Following up with a call to...

I have mostly had very positive experiences here. The service may not be Trader Joe's level friendly but it's far above McDonald's. Our pizza is hot and almost always ready at the expected time. It's delicious. It puts Pizza Hut, Papa John's, and Little Caesars to shame. I never would have thought I would love Domino's. Unfortunately, one visit they inadvertantly put Parmesan cheese on my pineapple jalapeno pizza and that is a beyond disgusting combination. I have not been able to stomach the thought of having it since. My kids still enjoyed it though as a weekly treat. We have stopped going for other reasons not related to the quality of service there. But I would surely love to have my jalapeno pineapple pizza again, sans any unexpected...
