NEW UPDATED REVIEW 5.31.25
This place has become a favorite local sushi spot. The service has improved. The sushi is good but the hibachi is lacking just a bit.
We visit her 2 to 3 times per month, now. It has potential and certainly room for improvement, but so much better than pur first attempt. Give it a try again if you had a bad experience.

Caveat Emptor! This is going to be harsh.
I went for lunch, and they were fairly busy. I was fully aware it was opening week, and I anticipated some issues. However, the issues were not small. In fact, they are insurmountable.
Not enough wait staff to properly handle the tables. The wait staff speaks little to no English, causing catastrophic issues with getting the orders correct. Sushi fish was spoiled and slimy.
My order was incorrect, as was the other 4 tables' orders around me. The server could not keep track of what food went to which table and then everyone's food was incorrect in some way. The sushi rolls were so "rotten" that it was hot and slimy. These rolls were supposed to be raw, yes, but not room temperature or warmer. The rolls were incorrectly made and had to be sent back. After 30 minutes to correct them, the new rolls were absolutely disgusting. Warm. Slimy and wreaked like a chum bucket. At nearly $14 per roll, only one piece was eaten. The only reason it went down was that the thought of releasing it out of my mouth onto the table would have produced more than went in. The one piece i swallowed has given me Temaki's revenge, and I may never eat sushi again. The hibachi filet was cold and tasteless, and the vegetables were barely cooked. The fried rice was super dry. The soup was luke warm. The salad was fair, and the dressing was good. Our server didn't speak English very well and struggled with all of the tables. My hibachi was supposed to be Fillet and Chicken, but it was all Fillet. They offered to add the chicken. I was charged for a full Fillet at a higher price, although I didn't order it. I ate the tasteless, cold steak. At least I could swallow that. I will not return, and I am concerned about the rotten sushi I managed to get down. Two people, two full rolls that were inedible, cold hibachi, incorrect order, and super slow...
Read more5's across the board for me, our group of four went in and were immediately impressed by the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant which was very calm and a mix of local and eastern aesthetics. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and were with us shortly after we arrived. Our table was simple but spacious. The menus were well organized and there are plenty of options for beverages ranging from soft drinks, milk and fruit teas, and a modest selection of alcohol beverages. We were in the restaurant for roughly an hour and a half, 25% of which was likely spent waiting on our orders. (Though, this was likely because it was rather busy when we arrived). Drinks were brought within about a minute or so of ordering. Our food was brought to us two or so items at a time, all of it was still hot so we know it was brought to us as soon as they were ready. The portions were well sized and everything was cooked perfectly. After our meals we ordered a round of cold Sake which was delivered within a minute or so of ordering. We were treated to four cups, each of which contained a different flavor of Sake: Apple, Pineapple, White Peach, and Lychee, all of which were labeled, and were very smooth and pleasant. Overall, no complaints at all. I highly recommend visiting this location if you enjoy Japanese cuisine. I personally recommend the Shoyu Ramen, which is a chicken broth with corn, spring onions, a soft boiled egg, two kelp sheets, a fish cake, and of course the noodles, as well as various options of 'protein' (these are basically sides, I chose the shrimp tempura) all of which comes in a rather large bowl, and was all piping hot and tasted delicious! Everything was freshly made and cooked thoroughly so we all left satisfied. Some items were a bit pricy, but it was all well worth it. This location has been open for only a few months, so I would say they have started off...
Read moreTwo trips in one, first and last. Service, okay at best. Food, still not sure what we were served. Asked if the either of the curries were made with coconut milk and were assured they were. The appetizers are pretty much where our meal ended and were actually very good, dumplings pan fried and vegetable tempura. Weren't we surprised when the curries, one chicken and one shrimp were served to us on a plate , not in a bowl. I was offered the opportunity to have the fried rice in place of the steamed rice. Both were served with my curry, and both were charged. Both of the curries were identical in both looks and taste. They contained potatoes and carrots cut into small pieces and had the taste and texture of canned vegetables. They were in a very thick brown sauce/gravy that also had the appearance and taste of canned gravy. Tasted like the gravy on a can of Dinty Moore beef stew came immediately to mind. The shrimp and chicken were fried and on the side by the rice. The curries were inedible to say the least, so we asked for 3 to go containers and all was taken home and added to my dogs food. This was lunch, about 1:30, in the afternoon and a very valuable lesson, bill was $80. Will not return, visit at...
