Doug's Diner — Restaurant in Mead

I've been hearing my neighbors rant and rave about this new Doug's Diner in Longmont/Mead, CO. So, I decided to give this place a try to update my readers.

Doug's Diner is located where the old Red Rooster diner used to be. The service we received at this diner was excellent! The service was super friendly, welcoming and attentive. I would give it six out of five stars! Our waitress' name was Shawna. Her service was absolutely remarkable! She was very knowledgeable of the menu items and her recommendations were spot-on! Another great serving professional is Aaron! Honestly, everyone that works here is super-friendly and willing to go out of their way to accommodate you.

If you like meat (like I do), then you've made the right choice by coming to this diner! Be prepared to go there with you appetite as well, as their portion sizes are big. Big enough that you can make two meals out of what they bring to you. Everything you order is cooked to your requested preference -- with perfection! For example, when I go to a diner and order hash browns crispy, they are usually somewhat crispy on the outside and NEVER crispy in the middle. But not here. The hashbrowns were crispy to perfection all the way through! My eggs were also cooked to perfection with loads of bacon. I have found my 'repeat' diner. I highly recommend this diner...

Had breakfast here on a busy Sunday morning. I like that they offer smaller portions of omelets and skillets since it’s usually too much for me. I had a veggie omelet (can’t remember the name) with home fries and a biscuit. Omelet and home fries were delicious, the biscuit was too sweet for my taste, but would be great if you like sweet biscuits. Very big and filling. My dining mates had the basic breakfast and chicken fried chicken with biscuit and gravy. They both thought it was okay, although my husband prefers thinner, crispier bacon. Coffee was really good and service was good. Only minus in service was having to ask for a coffee refill. My 5 star service ratings go to places that have someone constantly come around with coffee to all tables, not just the ones they are serving. I will definitely go back as there were many other tasty looking options on the menu. It was very busy on a Sunday morning, but we were seated within 10 minutes. Overall a good experience...

We had a large group of women who came to Doug's restaurant, and the young ladies who set up the tables and served us did an outstanding job! These young women deserve a standing ovation for all they did to make us feel welcomed, comfortable, and well fed, too. I was amazed at how quickly the orders were taken and the short amount of time it took to receive our food---and, speaking for myself, it was delicious, by the way. As I looked around the room and observed some of the other plates my friends had ordered, they looked great; everyone seemed to enjoy their food, and I believe we all got enough to eat; coffee and drinks were refreshed often. Thank you for pulling this off and making our luncheon one that will be remembered with happy memories! God...
