One, maybe two decent beers, not even in my top 20 of the area, not worth mentioning at all for the state. Nathan is outstanding. Where Knuckle Puck falls face first is their trivia announcer (can't call her a host, she doesn't write the questions ans has next to no knowledge, let alone the foresight to read them in advance, just reads them, that's it) Erica, who's husband, that sets up the latop with all the questions on it, and lives in the same house, plays the game and shocker, wins first place 99% of the time. Recently when playong, Erica mispronounces the last name of 40% of a country and when corrected, spits back that she's the host. So basically it's ok to be racist against 40% of the Vietnamese... if you're Erica.... Personally I think that's abhorrent, but that's just me I guess.
Edit: In response to the owner, Tanner, I've detailed before and left plenty of time to read, where, and how you've lied. So I'll just leave this. You're the only "ban"... anywhere. If there's another I haven't been made aware of, let me know. So I won't be wasting my time or money on another place not worth...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate2: Back again from ChiTown. This time for my GrandDaughter's Spring break. Can't miss the Knuckle. Had a couple new brews 3/19. Can rely on a good brew each time. Sat in the sun on the patio, playing with the kids. Will be back to take several cans home later in the week.
Update: Was back in Sep for my Grandson's 1st birthday. Had to stop by the Knuckle and take several 16oz cans the thousand mile drive home. Enjoy the hockey-themed beers, especially Wired Greasy Grinder milk stout and Top Corns cream ale. Having spent time on the 4th line and having a chance to go on offence once in awhile; who doesn't love going top shelf corner, especially glove side!
Excellent beer selection. IPAs are very balanced, not overpowering and have a clean finish.
Surprised not to see more folks there on a Saturday evening. Knuckle Puck has over a dozen tasty home brews.
Will be back next time we visit our daughter and her...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeer - great. Mead police - hassle. Seriously, in Colorado, having just 1 beer can get you pulled over. We decided to have a beer after work at our place and there were no less than 4 police cars that came by. In addition, there was 1 that was stationed at the exit. Mead is a really small town, so perhaps it was coincidence, but in my opinion, having 4 police cars drive by, and 1 specifically wave at the patrons at the brew house, is more than suspect. The beer is definitely good, but the police presence is overwhelming. Would have been a 5 star experience otherwise. (Btw, I did not get pulled over - it's more just the feeling of...
