El Arriero — Restaurant in Medford

The food was cooked really well, and the amount of food you get for the price is quite large, but the service could really use some help. Couldn't help but notice that because we didn't speak Spanish, when the employee would come by the tables to check on people, the table before us they'd sit and talk, the table after us they would sit and talk, but they couldn't leave our table quick enough. It can be really upsetting when from the moment you come in you're saying please and thank you, and being as polite as possible, specially from having first hand experience in serving and knowing how people can be. They seemed upset that I wanted refills on my soda, and on my third refill scoffed and rolled their eyes when I said yes please. We were asked multiple times if we were done when we were slowing down (restaurant was not crowded so they didn't need the table and it wasn't close to closing at all) and they gave attitude again when we said we didn't want dessert.

The food was kind of bland, like cooked really well but very little spices or seasonings. Portions were huge, but I'd take smaller portions for them to taste better. With how many options there are in town, we probably won't be back to...

Food was amazing.. Drinks were amazing. This restaurant threw together a table to seat our party of 25 in a mater of minutes on a busy Saturday night.. After being lied to & let down by another restaurant that I had called a day in advance & then again the same day to ensure that they knew a large group was coming for dinner (not once did they tell me that they could not accommodate us on the phone.) Our Patty arrived at The Ram in Medford only to be told that That they could not accommodate us after all??? Thanks to the wonderful management & staff at El Arriero for saving our night & going above & beyond for us. We will definitely be coming back to eat at this outstanding...

We've eaten here a few times and the food was always good, pretty authentic for Medford. We LOVE their salsa. We go in quite frequently just to buy that to take home for our meals. It always tastes a bit different, so it's obvious that it's made from scratch. The prices for the salsa are comprable to store bought brands, but far better quality.
