=== Breakfast Burritos (and pickled carrots and peppers!) is the thing to order here! ===
Ordered a four breakfast burritos here: bacon, bacon w/o potato, chorizo, and ham. Also ordered a kids cheese quesadilla and pickled carrot, jalapenos, and onions.
Ham breakfast for us was the winner. Unlike the other two, this one had salsa in it which gave it that extra flavor edge.
Chorizo was good also - the chorizo had that chorizo flavor to it and wasn't just sausage. But it also had a TON of extra cheese in it - when we cut into it, the cheese oozed out. For some, they'll like that, for others, not so much.
Bacon breakfast burrito was good too -- they definitely didn't skimp on the bacon! But per their menu, it indeed doesn't have salsa in it. It could be because it would make the bacon soggy?
The potatoes in our burritos were not undercooked (there have been some reviews that have reported undercooked/raw potatoes).
The pickled carrots/jalapenos/onions? THE BOMB. These were amazing, and it's ok if you fear the spice - I'm not that great at super spicy food but these had amazing flavor and used them liberally with the burritos, especially the chorizo and bacon which didn't have salsa.
Those pickled carrots/jalapenos/onions? $0.50 for a ton.
Couldn't phone the order in ahead of time. But this could have been because it was 8 am.
But ordering in person and the wait was super smooth. After taking my order, it took less than 5-7 minutes to get my food.
This place looks like a Taco Bell. It doesn't seem like a charming hole-in-the wall, but once you get inside, it feels much more homey. The folks at the counter are friendly and they have a community board which seemed to reflect the community. All posted notices were in Spanish and talked about services to the community. I...
Read moreI ordered 2 Asada tacos thinking it would just have cilantro and onion. I had no clue tomatoes would come on them, I was so apologetic about having a tomato allergy and was very polite and considerate of their time and asked if they just wanted to do a refund to move the line along. The worker was very nice and said she would re-make them, I didn’t have cash so I asked to buy a coke so I could tip on the card and I said sorry about 5 or 6 times with many thank yous and smiles. When I got home my food definitely reflected the true feelings of needing to have my order re-made. Super sad because I totally would have accepted a refund and left but my tacos came out to be not edible and it’s $9 for 2 tacos!!! :( plus the drink and tip. Super expensive for something I could not eat. I took a few bites only to find: Some of The meat looked already chewed up and some was very tough gristle too chewy to swallow. Just do not recommend eating here it’s not sanitary. There was a foam in my quacamole too .....maybe spit :( I wouldn’t have asked for new tacos, it just doesn’t state that they add tomatoes on the menu. Good job guys you got me, sad that we couldn’t have just been civil about it....
Read moreThis is far from authentic spanish food. I am puerto rican and have a ton of mexican friends and trust me authentic hispanic food is full of flavor this food is so bland lol its actually quite a joke for how much they charge for their food. I see a lot of people like thier food but i can probably guarantee half of these people do not know what true authentic spanish food taste like. If you want good tacos try joses mexican food truck downtown or the food truck in white city it was cheaper and full over authentic hispanic flavor, but this place is far from authentic. If this restaurant is claiming to be authentic then put more flavor in your food like some adobo, sazon or other authentic ture hispanic spices in your food and RICE!! No one like bland rice claiming to be spnaish rice all i can do is laugh at the though of this being any type of authentic. Del taco has better seasond food than...
