I purchased what they said was rum cake. I took one bite at home and didn't taste any rum. I figured that maybe the rum was in the middle. Still no rum taste. I went in today to speak to the Mgr on the phone. His customer service on a scale of 1-10 was a zero. He said next time I can order it ahead of time with more rum. Unfortunately with his attitude there will be no next time. He wouldn't even compromise. I would not suggest to anyone their so called rum cake. I did like their patties. Unfortunately because of my experience I will have to go find another Haitian bakery. The owner/mgrs response below is not acceptable to me. I ate half to see if the rum was in the center. None. I put my nose up to it and could smell no rum. This pastry is a hoax and the owner/mgr's customer service is still ZERO on a scale of 1-10. It is what it is. Went into this place for the first time today. The owner was there and really nice; he explained which items were authentic Haitian cuisine or sweets, what was in them, and what portions they sell them in. I got a 3 pack of homemade coconut cookies, 1 piece of Tres leches cake, and a bottle of homemade lemonade.

I'd definitely recommend this place for people who miss real Haitian desserts and savories, if you want to try new desserts, or if you're looking for catering and/or a wedding cake. The shop is small but very clean and they do catering and delivery through Uber Eats. Lots of Haitian, French, and Caribbean items at reasonable prices, and they sell coffees and juices.

My only caution would be if you have severe nut allergies, a lot of their sweets contain nuts, so I'd be worried about accidental...

My coworker and I were facilitating a workshop at a high local school. When we asked one of the students what he was most proud of, he said that his parents had just opened their own business, a Bakery. We were cutting it close with when we needed to catch our flight but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to visit. I’m glad we went. We were able to meet the owner, she’s such a kind soul, and her kid is a direct reflection of that.

I ordered a fresh juice, a Reese cookie, and a chicken/beef patty. Every single thing was full of flavor and I could tell it was made with love. Thank you for sharing your son, your business, and this delicious food with us!
