I rarely write reviews and out of my own principles only do so when I have something positive to write. I have so many positive things to say about Oregon Mountain Coffee Co. This place is a true gem, tucked away in a shopping center, totally unassuming and totally worthy of discovering. I have lived in the Rogue Valley for two years, and this is the coffee shop I had hoped to find. The owner roasts all the coffee on site and you can taste the quality, and the care and love put into the process. The prices are insanely reasonable ($2.25 for a 16 oz. (3 shot) Americano!). It's also refreshing to look in a bakery case and not be disappointed. As a baker, I truly appreciate how genuinely delicious the baked goods look and taste. Apparently they are all also made by the owner. The baristas are friendly and attentive. The decor is sweet, with high back, wooden booths and local art on the walls. I came here for the first time one day after a friend referred it to me, and also after trying coffee at a new place in town and being thoroughly disappointed. This place restored my belief that a cafe can be a true haven for good coffee, tasty treats, and...
Read moreI was very surprised by this place. The location threw me off by I had one of the best lattes I've had in Oregon here. I did get a double chocolate chip beef Tallow cookie and it was good. They had other things in there that are different than other places and I can't wait to go back and try more. Plus the main thing I really like from this place is that they are not trying to rob you of all of your money. Like the coffee was a reasonable price and the cookie was a reasonable price. I shouldn't have to pay $56 for a cookie just because you say it's fancy. The cookie was $2 in the latte was like four something dollars. That's what it should be it shouldn't be just trying to charge a lot of money because they think they're fancy like some places do. I will definitely be coming back here they seem to be making food for the people not just trying to...

I was asked if I wanted my “puff taco” / breakfast croissant heated and I said yes… they put it in a panini press. What’s the point of laboriously baking a layered puff pastry if you’re going to smash it into a half-inch floppy disc? Such a weird choice.
Also asked for my French Toast loaf heated. Tasted like it was microwaved - overly chewy and not “fresh.” Also was not very sweet at all despite what “French toast” brings to mind.
I think both these mistakes are related to being understaffed/overworked in a busy environment. But these mistakes to me mean “first visit...
