Been wanting to try this place for a while now and decided today was the day. Bit pricy for what I would expect for a lunch, but assumed, incorrectly, it would be worth it. Ordered the pulled pork platter with beans and mac, togo. Then waited. Watched as others came in after me and were served food before I received mine which is one thing that I cannot deal with. During my wait, I was subjected to proselytization via the Christian radio they were pumping into the main dining area. Way to alienate people of other faith and agnostics. When I finally approached the counter and asked where my food was, they kicked into action, pulling the pork out of the fridge and pumping it out in the amount of time I was originally expecting. Unfortunately, I was then notified that the beans were not available. I should have cancelled the order and walked out, but I was hungry. Quality of the food would have made up for some of this, but it didn't. Watery pulled pork that tasted bland and like it had been frozen. I had to add some BBQ sauce at home to get it down, once again, cause I was starving. Everything comes in it's own pre-packaged containers, which leads me to believe they only make this stuff periodically. I can't imagine how many of these containers end up in the landfill. How about putting everything into one simple container? Sub-par. The picture is the waste produced for ONE...
Read moreGrants Pass Location: I always give any new restaurant 3 tries. My first experience was great, very friendly, good sandwich portions (ordered the club), great large portion of potato salad. Only problem is the ventilation was horrible. Took three days to get the smell out of my down jacket. Tried to go back but the rest of the family didn't want to put up with the smoke. So that brings me to my 2nd experience which was tonight. I decided to do take out. Low and behold the ventilation issue has been resolved. My wife was going to have the potato salad as her meal, and my daughter and I were going to share the sandwich. Again, such large portions. Well it cost the same $10.50 for take out, however the portions were about half the size, and my wife's "dinner" ended up being about 2 table spoons of potato salad. Live and learn. Wasn't trying to be thrifty, and would have gladly paid more for the "sit down" portion i thought I was going to get. One more chance! Update 5 days later. 3rd try was tonight, actually my wife's idea. We ate there and all was perfect. I still don't know if the take out portion is less, but the sit down portions...
Read moreTo clarify, this review is for the CENTRAL POINT restaurant, Not Medford. The food is usually pretty good and consistent. The reason for the poor review is because of the service and the managers response. We placed a take out order for one sandwich, fries, and a small macaroni salad at 12:45 on Sunday. We received the food at 1:22pm. The manager said that they had a large group come in and were busy. My husband has been in the restaurant business for over 30 years. Most restaurants will try to get as many of the smaller orders out as quickly as possible to allow them to concentrate on the larger order without creating a backlog. This particular manager apparently decided to concentrate on the large order and randomly put out a few small orders. Unfortunately, our order was shuffled to the bottom of the pile. Sadly, because of the poor way this was handled, we will not be returning. The quality of the product doesn't outweigh the...
