I've been this specific Dunkin Donuts twice... Maybe Starbucks has spoiled me but I only went here because of their coupon... The front staff was having a difficulty understanding my order: Espresso with Ice. I can't imagine it's ordered often. Although the coupon was for any iced beverage, this drink did not apply as it had to be a "special" iced drink or even iced coffee.. I then said a large coffee would be great as well. I asked if they had almond milk. 5 minutes later they found out they did not. OK, so I told them no milk and just iced coffee. He asked me again, you sure you don't want milk or sweetener? I replied, "no". He gave me the receipt and change and put it directly in my pocket without looking at it...
5 minutes later (there was only one person in front of me) and I was running later as I had been there 15 minutes total now, they gave me my drink which, of course, had milk in it. I asked if it was almond milk (perhaps they found some?) and they said no it was normal milk (I can't really digest milk well) but I told them if they can remake it cause I didn't want milk. I can't remember their reply exactly but they said something along the lines of "your order almond milk and thought he asked if you wanted regular instead".... I looked at my receipt and I was charged extra for the almond milk and got regular milk instead which I did not want. Since I was already late I just smiled and shook my head and left with my coffee. All I wanted was an iced espresso... because a coupon said any iced drink... and I ended up paying more for something I didn't even want and wasted a lot of time doing it. 1st world problems, I know but things like this (and it's not my first time nor at this one location) is why Starbucks is better than DD. They listen, they take your crazy orders, they confirm and you have your coffee from start to finish in usually less than 3 minutes. Whenever I get DD coupons now I just throw them away. Read moreI go to Duncan about 2-3 times each work day and often on the weekend. This week I went to the Lake Washington location 4 times. I sat in my car, the first time, waiting for ever and the person inside was on the mic talking about a co-worker not doing her job, very aggressively and foul and then after a long conversation, she said “did you order the iced” I said I haven’t ordered yet….got to the window and the young lady with the long braids stands there, my coffee on the shelf behind me and has a full conversation with a co-worker, ignores the like that has now formed then attempts to give me the wrong order. She then goes to grab the actual order and tries to have me pay for the second time. Today was the nail in the coffin for me!! I went, waited again, each time this happened. No one was in line but no one was taking orders for the drive thru. Once she did, she didn’t listen to my order at all she cut me off and then I wait at the window, she is standing and my coffee is on the shelf and she just walks away from the window and lets me set, along with the car behind me. 5 minutes I sit and people are walking around and my coffee ready but sitting. She hands it to me and it’s ice cold (supposed to be hot with 4 Splenda and just a couple of cubes of ice, and I say this every time and get a a hot coffee 3 times a day for 20 years). She says well you ask for ice…I said I ask for a hot black with a couple of ice cubes…she stomps off and sends back another girl with another cup of ice cold coffee…she begins to tell me if I ask for ice that’s what they gave me…now I do this everyday and no one has an issue at any other location. She argued with me!!! After the wait…I ask for a MANAGER AND SHE SAID WE HAVE ONE BUT THEY NEVER COME HERE! Read moreSomething needs to be done about this place its decreasing the value in our community. This location is the very worst location in my area just horrible. I ordered a hot chocolate,hash browns and breakfast sandwich. Just HORRIBLE!!!!! Please take a look at the hot chocolate, an actual hot chocolate from Dunkin is much darker in color. The balance in the hot chocolate was WAYYY off! It taste like hot water and was not sweet, it had no flavor! So I politely called and spoke with the person who prepared our order and she had an attitude stating that , that's just how its made. What she should have said was, hey I'm sorry about that, are you able to bring it back so that we can take a look at it for you? Now that's great customer service.
So after she said that I explained to her that the balance was off and it taste like hot water, she then gave me an attitude. So I said politely, no worries I will return for a full refund.
I travel back to the dunkin and speak with her in the drive through requesting a refund she walked away with an attitude asking me what do I want her to do about it. I said that I want a FULL REFUND. She then stated that the manager was in Orlando and that his name was William. You all MUST DO SOMETHING about this location, its so horrible. Maybe they are not being paid enough or are miserable people. I wasnt too bothered by the face that they seem as if they are on drugs with rotten teeth because maybe the really need a job and Dunkin gave them a chance.
