What a great little blast from the past. Great little local ice cream shop. Many flavors to choose from. If you don't feel like ice cream you can opt out for a hot dog or walking taco. Our orders consisted of (4) Brownie sundaes and a walking taco. The ice cream flavors will be a hit for everyone. Great variety. They offer something. For everyone. We all went for Brownie sundaes and we all chose different types of ice cream. We all were super happy with the choices we made. The brownie was fresh and homemade. Not some store bought generic brownie. The only thing I would have liked differently is to have had the brownie heated up vs room temp. That would have set this brownie over the edge. The walking taco had generous portions of toppings and the ground beef was seasoned perfectly served inside of a dorito bag. They offer inside seating and some outdoor seating. We thought we went at an off time (3pm) but they were busy. They had one person working. I felt bad for him. We got ours and I think within minutes 20 people were in line. They must have known it was worth the wait. (Because it is) But he handled it perfectly. And people waited patiently. We will definitely be back. The decor is really cool and great conversation pieces. After a bad day, there’s nothing like a bowl of ice cream to melt your troubles away. Sometimes, the best way to manage your feelings is to eat them in the form of a cool and creamy treat. ...
Read moreTheir rating is 4.9 for a reason folks. The atmosphere is very family oriented. Us adults and our children love it. The tile, tables, chairs, car bench seat, posters, signs, juke box and pin ball machines bring you back to an awesome time of childhood. And the games were free for our kids to play. 50's music was playing and it definitely set the mood for the rest of the atmosphere. The ice cream was delicious and tasted very fresh and very creamy. I got a mint chocolate chip shake and it was delicious! My hubby got 3 scoops and they were large on a super yummy fresh waffle cone. The prices I would say are very cheap compared to other ice cream shops and that alone brings you back to a time where you feel good about spending money there. Our service was lovely. The 3 ladies were all very attentive and quick with serving us. I think they may be 3 generations (gma, daughter, grandaughter) but I could be wrong. All 3 were very involved in conversation, service and sale. I couldn't be more pleased to see that and to have that feeling I once had when I was younger that I thought I would never feel again. They definitely brought something precious to our community and our family will be a forever customer. Thank you for everything ladies. Do t hesitate on giving them a try, you...
Read moreReally wish I had better things to say about this place. :( Drove 30 minutes here yesterday for my 21st birthday because I'm a big fan of 1950s-themed places and wanted to try their dairy-free icecream options. Service and atmosphere were extremely lacking – half the options were out of stock, not dethawed, or unavailable, despite it being a seemingly slow Saturday afternoon. Staff member didn't apologize once for any inconvenience, and only gave a single suggestion after two of my choices were shot down. No gloves or handwashing stations were used, even after touching things in the backroom. $10 for a small and medium cup and neither of them were what we really wanted. My sister struggled to use the flimsy spoons they provide. I had to wipe down my own table and chair, too. The place was cute, like in photos, but wayyy too cramped/overdecorated for what tiny space they're given in the strip mall. Barely audible music, very little room to make it from the counter to a table, and customers sat in awkward silence. The sorbet was okay, soft and seemingly made with real fruit, hence the two stars. Maybe you have to hit this place later in the evening or during a different shift for it to be worth it? Cute mom and pop shop in essence, but probably needs to address...
