The portion sizes were good, but the quality was very lacking. The chicken lo mein tasted of noodles with soy sauce, and the chicken was gelatinous. The fried dumplings had no flavor, but was cooked to perfection. The appetizer plate which featured crab Rangoon‘s barbecue ribs, egg rolls, chicken wings, and chicken teriyaki were as follows: the crab Rangoon‘s were smaller than usual ones and were quite tasty. The chicken teriyaki was tender and flavorful, as well as cooked to perfection. The egg rolls were dark, possibly due to older fry oil and lack taste. The ribs tasted as if they are boiled and then tossed in sauce. The pork fried rice which came with the chicken lo mein tasted of old white rice and was tough to chew.
Sadly, my overall experience was quite disappointing. However, I do hope that they take constructive criticism from their patrons to overall increase the quality of their restaurant as I do like the atmosphere and music being played. It was a bit odd having to pay before receiving your meal at the table. I do think if they kept to a traditional style restaurant where the server comes to the table and does not pressure you to pay prior to receiving your food. And its current condition given the food, quality and service I would not recommend or plan...
Read moreUpdate: I've ordered a couple times and want to share what I like and what I think could improve. I love that fried rice has meat and vegetables you can actually see and taste. One thing that's seems strange is that fried rice seems to be chopped up. I don't think this gives a good texture. It's almost clumpy. Personally I think it needs some onion for sweet ness but I understand that may not speak to all.Thank you for offering mixed Egg Drop Wonton on your menu!!! Egg rolls were very tasty this time. So far still very happy!! Original Review: Ordered delivery for first time. VERY pleasantly surprised. Price, quantity, and quality are on point. We had mixed Egg Drop Wonton soup, egg rolls, mandarin chicken, mixed vegetables, beef with veg, Singapore Mei Fun. Everything was very fresh and tasty. My only recommendation would be to change the egg roll recipe. They could definitely be better but are not bad. The wall of egg roll is too thin and cabbage a little soggy. It could have more flavorful. Everything was so good . I will probably make this my new go to, but since I LOVE a good egg roll (what I crave most) I hope they will consider changing...
Read moreThe food is so good! The kung pao I had here is the best tasting Chinese food thing I've ever had in my life and I'm officially middle aged this year. This is what I imagine Chinese food tasting like at some fancy place in a big city, not at a strip mall behind a sandwich shop lol
They have plenty of seating at a comfortable distance apart, really nice service and the food is efficiently made. The food looks amazing, the dinner portions are each, alone, probably able to feed two hungry people and include rice (mine wasn't yellow so not sure what's changed since those other reviews). Presentation is also great and it's cheaper than the last time I went to a fast food burger place or a fast casual sandwich and soup place. Bonkers.
Oh and not for nothing but they have fountain sodas to help you down the giant plates.
Please help keep this place open! You won't regret it!
EDIT: P.S. I've ordered a few more times, like for delivery even, and I wanted to say THANK YOU for making the rice so fluffy. I didn't even know rice could be this nice and this is the only place I've experienced in the county that makes it this way....
