Foxtail coffee… Was so excited about this new coffee shop coming to Viera. Couldn’t wait for them to open so that I can start going there instead of Starbucks. So disappointed when I twice tried to get an extra hot latte and kept getting slightly warm drinks. The person in charge promised things would change and made all kinds of excuses as to why this was happening…they would still need to get used to the new machine, calibrate them machines properly, wouldn’t make temperature checks etc. However, I still paid almost 7 dollars for lukewarm drink with an extra shot. Hasn’t anybody had the same experience? If you have, make sure you voice it because I felt I was treated like it was just a one off, like it was in my head…just me, when I get these types of coffees all the time from Starbucks. I would love to hear from anybody out there that had the same experience so that Foxtail can make improvements and address the issue properly. Moreover, I even noticed the manager gave a few folks some cards for free drinks for their problems, and I had issues twice and she just came up with excuses. It was like my issue wasn’t even...
Read moreHonestly this place sickens me when I see it. I tried it once, and just like every other one of their locations in Orlando, they can't seem to hit the mark. I've never gotten a drink made correctly at any location before, including this one. The fact that manager is, well... Manager, blows my mind, after hearing multiple people within the local coffee community rant about her, and how all of her experience is made up, is the icing on the cake for Foxtail's Brevard county debut. I overheard her once state that she worked in managemet at Starbucks for well over 6 years, at the age of 19. As someone who HAS worked in Starbucks management for over 6 years, I can attest that the bucks would never place a 13 year old in managemet, let alone hire one in the first place. I know it's so petty, but after hearing this, I had to do my own investigating to confirm that in fact, she has never worked for Starbucks, or a partnering store before. In that respect, I'm glad that foxtail has placed so much responsibility and trust in her to make their stores succeed, as it will surely end poorly for both...
Read moreIt didn't take long for this location to become my regular spot after opening, however I eventually swapped back to Apocalypse after several visits due to a lack of availability in products, inconsistent quality, and unprofessional staff.
That being said I decide to give Foxtail another shot today when the line at apocalypse was a bit outrageous. Apparently there has been some management and staffing turnover, and it certainly shows for the better. The store was pristine, all products were available, and the two people working (a young lady with short hair who identified herself as the new manager and a gentleman with long black hair) were engaged, friendly, and attentive without being overwhelming or too personal. My drink was made quickly and correctly, tasted delicious and was served with a smile.
The creativity, innovation, and food are better at apocalypse, but nothing in Melbourne beats this Foxtail spot if you're a...
